Hazel is feeling her old chipper self. Sleepy is her natural look. To treat her recent bout of explosive diarrhea I used pro-pectalin which is an over-the-counter medication. I keep it in the house because that’s Hazel’s preferred way of getting sick.
Here is Mollie (our beauty queen) lounging on the window counter. We were prepping for some weekend company and she’s exhausted. She’s complained about the lack of breaks and a catnip dispenser. Not sure if she’ll take this gig next year.
Morgan is sleeping with her bestie, the beloved husband. There are more comfortable positions but whatever works.
Gracie is down for the count. Very exhausting afternoon!
Have a great weekend from our house to yours.
I’m sleepy just looking at how cozy everyone is 🙂

Cats have an exhausting life. Eating, playing, pooping. No wonder they sleep 80% of the time. I totally understand.

Don’t forget the fleck of dust they have to keep an eye on.

Hopefully that fleck of dust is not walking…

I’m thinking they had a catnip party without me. I didn’t know the beloved husband liked catnip.

🙂 That’s what I tell them. Now I hear valerian root affects cats to but leaves them with a more peaceful buzz.

I hadn’t heard that. I might try it.

Gracie came from a hoarding situation. She didn’t have health care but she obviously was very well socialized. She isn’t afraid of anything and you can see that she sleeps without worry. Looks like she’s dancing with the angels in her dreams.

Where would you be without your kitties to keep you entertained? I like your photos and commentary.

Thanks. I’d be in a deep dark hole without them. I’d also have more time on my hands. No hairballs, no furniture to de-fur, no complex feeding schedule (preferably every 20 minutes).

I have one of those big sleeping cats too! Hahaha!
Great shots all around Kate!

Thanks. Cats are harder to photograph than dogs. They are truly divas when I bring out the camera. Butts and tails, that’s what I get.

Everyone but the beloved husband who hasn’t had a night’s sleep in a week. He always has sleep issues but periodically it gets extended (and then he gets grumpy).

try this little Serum – Sleepy Time — rub it on your forehead, behind ears and top of big toes before bed – lights out! and all natural 🙂

Your beloved husband sleeps in a position very similar to my husband’s favorite nap position! Very familiar to me. 🙂 I’m glad the cats are doing well and perhaps as you approach Christmas they can just decide to stay in this peaceful mode. You don’t need the excitement of explosive diarrhea! Oh my!

I don’t know how he sleeps like that but he will do that for 2 hours at a time. Once my head starts nodding (and hopefully it’s not during a party) I go to bed.

No, but no worries. When I get tired I take a proper nap in a flat bed with a pillow!

You get marvelous shots of the cats. I didn’t have a digital camera when we had cats, so I have very few photos of them. Yours are well documented.

Way back when I had a single lens SLR I took pictures of my cat Noah. I have half an album of fabulous pictures. She was a beautiful calico with lots of white who allowed me to take pictures. Then there were two other beauties and I have some pictures of them. I have about 50 pictures of Jake but the four I have now, there are tons of pictures. Photography got easier and so did storage. Sometimes I feel like that parent who has more pictures of the first born only in reverse.

Some would disagree, but I think it’s marvelous to be freed of albums and slide trays.

The product you use for the diarrhea…is that a cat product? Where do you get it? We need some of that on hand around here.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes it is a cat and dog product with the cat dosage lower. I bought the first tube from my vet last year when Hazel had a diarrhea spell but the last one I got from Chewy. It’s a kao-pectate product. I have the tube gel to put in their mouth but it comes in pill form too if that’s easier. Typically it helps in one or two doses but this last round took a whole week.

I can’t sleep like that. I can however find some odd ways to sleep according to Michelle. One the snoring subject, the dogs snore louder than me.

The cats aren’t loud snorers but three of them do snore. My husband is a different topic though.

That was part of series I took while she was rutching around while sleeping. It’s the only one that wasn’t too badly blurred. She is a hoot when she sleeps. Odd positions and snores like a drunk sailor. Too bad photos don’t have sound tracks.
