It’s Sasha the magnificent! It’s been a frustrating week for the peep. She’s been trying to get some new photos. She sneaks around, tiptoeing so we don’t break our adorable pose. Then we see (or hear) her and scamper off. There is nothing stealth about her. She’s like bigfoot stomping around but the male peep is even worse. Do peeps not know how to sneak around like us cats do? How do they kill their prey? Oh yes, tomatoes and cucumbers don’t give much of a fight.
When she’s up to something she gives off a smell. We call it the smell of deception. Many times, it means a trip to the vet. Sometimes it’s a nail clipping or an ear cleaning (yikes!). One time she gave me a booty trim! Boundaries lady! Boundaries!
Anyhow no new or different photos. She says they all look alike. We’re either sleeping or cuddling. Mostly in the same spots.
Recently she switched up things and put a cushion on the front box window. It gets the afternoon sun…so wonderful! We have a shot of Gus there. That room used to be Morgan’s favorite spot. She’d go there for peace and quiet (from us!). Now it’s up for grabs.
Life is good here. Hope it’s good wherever you are.

The lovers pic…so adorable. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks. It will be warm but not as warm as Friday or Monday. Funny how that works. At least the weekend will be dry.

Hahaha! You are correct, there is no sneaking, but something tells me your Peep is going to keep trying.

She says we need more “creative” photos. Not even sure what that means!

Sasha – I like the view from the box window and the suncatcher too. Since there are two cats in the suncatcher, why aren’t you there with Gus? I would love an afternoon sun puddle like that for myself but I don’t think I’m small enough to curl up there unfortunately.

The peep says that too. Nothing as nice as a nice sun puddle to nap in.

I’d never move and would snooze my afternoon away!

I’ve taken to not putting the phone in front of my face to take photos, I hold it out a ways and just glance at the screen, keeping my face toward the animals (or the grandchild). If they think you’ve broken eye contact and gone behind the phone/camera, they shift and move away. If you keep looking at them and just glance at what’s in your frame from a distance, it seems to catch them better, at least for me.

Worth a try! Even if they are sleeping they will pop one eye open!

I don’t mind repeats as long as I get to see you two.

All of them are starting to look similar. Snuggles or naps.

The window seat is wonderful for the cats. Looks like Gus is loving the sunshine. The photo with the leg is great.

Sasha, that is a lovely photo of your Gus in the front window. The Lady Peep got some beautiful light and it’s a pretty setting. I do believe life is good there!

You know Sasha, if you want to be the next Oprah you need pictures. The Peep is just thinking along the lines of success. See, you might get a cat food campaign. Think of it. All the tuna and chicken you and Gus could eat.

Aww on how Gus is in Morgan’s place in the window. 🩵
Gotta love his leg as he shows his love to Sasha. Happy weekend!

Not sure if it’s love or dominance. In any case on this day at this minute it works. Generally speaking, Sasha is the boss.

Sasha is letting Gus feel like the boss today, but she knows the truth. 😉

I SOOOOOOO adore that shot of “the lovers” – that party leg doesn’t need a sign on it saying “MINE!” – we just know. It’s been Springy here the past couple of days – today we’re going to tickle the 80 degree mark. That’s great because earlier this week we had some frosty nights and highs in the low 40s. Spring here has always been unpredictable……schizophrenic would be a better word. Anywho – happy Spring (for the moment!).
Hugs, Pam

Seems like everyone is recalibrating since Morgan passed. It’s amazing how they do that and reconfigure things.

It is, especially cat beds. When Gracie passed, Morgan moved into her window bed. When Morgan passed, it’s mostly Gus but sometimes both in the same bed. Now Gus is gingerly taking over the music room which was solely Morgan’s.
