Sassy cats – Tricking the peep

No vet trip!

It’s Sasha the magnificent! It’s been a frustrating week for the peep. She’s been trying to get some new photos. She sneaks around, tiptoeing so we don’t break our adorable pose. Then we see (or hear) her and scamper off. There is nothing stealth about her. She’s like bigfoot stomping around but the male peep is even worse. Do peeps not know how to sneak around like us cats do? How do they kill their prey? Oh yes, tomatoes and cucumbers don’t give much of a fight.

When she’s up to something she gives off a smell. We call it the smell of deception. Many times, it means a trip to the vet. Sometimes it’s a nail clipping or an ear cleaning (yikes!). One time she gave me a booty trim! Boundaries lady! Boundaries!

Anyhow no new or different photos. She says they all look alike. We’re either sleeping or cuddling. Mostly in the same spots.

Here is Gus demonstrating how much he needed a cushion there. Poor baby!

Recently she switched up things and put a cushion on the front box window. It gets the afternoon sun…so wonderful! We have a shot of Gus there. That room used to be Morgan’s favorite spot. She’d go there for peace and quiet (from us!). Now it’s up for grabs.

This is an old one with Gus’s “party leg” on me.

Life is good here. Hope it’s good wherever you are.

  1. You know Sasha, if you want to be the next Oprah you need pictures. The Peep is just thinking along the lines of success. See, you might get a cat food campaign. Think of it. All the tuna and chicken you and Gus could eat.

  2. I SOOOOOOO adore that shot of “the lovers” – that party leg doesn’t need a sign on it saying “MINE!” – we just know. It’s been Springy here the past couple of days – today we’re going to tickle the 80 degree mark. That’s great because earlier this week we had some frosty nights and highs in the low 40s. Spring here has always been unpredictable……schizophrenic would be a better word. Anywho – happy Spring (for the moment!).

    Hugs, Pam

    • It is, especially cat beds. When Gracie passed, Morgan moved into her window bed. When Morgan passed, it’s mostly Gus but sometimes both in the same bed. Now Gus is gingerly taking over the music room which was solely Morgan’s.
