Sassy cats – Yay March edition!

If you look closely, the left side under my chin has less floof than my right side but I’m not looking naked anymore.

It’s me, Sasha the magnificent! This is a current picture of me. If you look at the left side of my neck, you can see my fur growing back from my surgery. I still need the long fluff on that side to grow back but I’m looking more gorgeous every day!

Here is a picture of the Gus that the peep found on her camera. He’s a handsome ginger with a little bit of an attitude (but I’m still the reigning queen).

Gus ready to roll with his party leg hanging out!

The peep finished some house projects that were hanging around. After Morgan died, she lost her juju for a while. It’s coming back with the warm weather. I heard her planning an update for the powder room. Workmen! In my house! Getting my safe places ready for the contractor apocalypse.

She found a picture of Morgan sitting on the mahjong table. She liked to be in the middle of things. We all miss her.

The peep is whining about gas prices skyrocketing. (Ain’t that a fancy word for a cat?) I volunteered to not go to the vet ever again to help. She gave me a side eye. Not sure what that means.

Have a great weekend!

  1. You and your main squeeze are lookin’ mighty fine Sasha. I have to squint and scrunch up my eyes to notice your left side is not as floofy as the right side. Very smart idea helping the Peep to save gas – I like it. Morgan being mischievous makes for a sweet photo.

  2. We drove by a couple of gas stations today… holy cow! Shocks like that make us even happier that we drive an EV. I remember the gas crisis in the late 70s and having to deal with long lines (every-other day, depending on the license plate number, I think). Hopefully this won’t last as long.

I go back and forth about a guest bathroom reno project. Currently I’m thinking not (a conclusion I come to more and more at my age).

    • I remember those lines in the 70s too. Driving around to find a gas station that had gas would waste gas! I wonder whatever happened to the Venezuelan gas we commandeered. This project, which is a vanity cabinet and top switch out, is likely our last. We’ve done the ones that needed to be done. We are getting too old. This should take less than a week (famous last words).

  3. Hello, Sasha the Magnificent! Your floof will be back before you know it. Gus’s party leg is becoming a fan favorite of Sassy Cat Friday! It seems to always be his left leg. Very interesting. He IS a handsome Ginger with a handsome Baby Face. You two make an adorable couple. I am ready for the Lady Peep’s powder room freshen up! Yes, Morgan is missed🩶

  4. Morning Sash,

Great hearing from you and you’re as pretty as ever, and your brother by far is the Cary Grant of cats. So stately. Nothing too Tom about him. Do you have groupies who show up at the house? I wouldn’t be surprised.

And I miss Morgan too. I’ll bet she’s looking down purring right now.

  5. Sasha looks sweet and sassy – hair growing back helps with the sassiness I’m sure! Gus and his party leg at the ready………..now all you need is a party. We’re enjoying a touch of Spring – temps higher than they should be which I always take as a sign that something WEIRD is about to happen. What type of WEIRD is up for grabs. Could be anything. As I’ve gotten older I am not as crazy about surprises.

    Happy Friday!

    Hugs, Pam
