Sassy cats – Helpful nursemaids? Really?

I’m quite the beauty!

Sasha here. This was a hectic, busy week. The peep got her pooper checked. She spent a lot of time on her porcelain litter box getting ready. We were our normal caring selves. We sat with her (demanding pets and scratchies) and reminded her when it was dinnertime (it’s the least we could do even though she couldn’t eat anything). She was a diva about the whole thing. You’d think life revolved around her instead of us.

Her appointment was at dark o’clock, which meant we ate breakfast early (early is better than late). When she came home, we all napped together. We purred her back to life. That helped a lot along with a mocha latte.

I saved the best news for last. We wanted to do something special for her like a religious sacrifice, so we rounded up a mouse, killed it and put it in the walkway for her to see as she left. At first, she thought it was Gus’s toy, but his toy doesn’t have feetsies. The male peep disposed of it and off they went. She liked our gesture. She left muttering stuff, probably thanks.

We are available if you need any medical caretaking. Have tuna, will travel!

Caretaking is exhausting!

Have a great weekend and happy Halloween!

  1. I had an orange cat named Charlie that was the best little guy I have ever had. When I had a migraine, which got to be quite frequent for a while, he would just stay with me while I was riding it out in the dark in bed.

He never bugged me to feed him or even pet him, but he did hug my head and purr in my ear. He was the sweetest little guy, and I still miss him so.

    Cats are the best creatures.

  2. Have tuna will travel did ya say? I’m in.

And as far as gifts go, remember it’s the thought that counts. But who wouldn’t want a dead mouse, and one with footsies no less? One gets pretty tired of flowers and candy. Or pooped, in your Peep’s case. 🙂

  3. Well believe me your “Female Caretaker” is a lot happier than you all are that the pooper check is over with – hopefully all is well in “that area” ! Nice to give her a “going away mouse” to cheer her up on the way for the procedure. That’s very thoughtful. Hopefully the household routine is back to whatever NORMAL is NORMAL for you all……….Happy Halloween!
