After all the houseguests left we all enjoyed a week of lots of nothing!

  1. July and I am wishing it was the tail end of Labor Day … not to wish my life away and feel free to remind me in the Winter that I complained about the heat wave in July.

    • First fireworks season (not counting memorial day) in this house. My cats usually aren’t bothered but then again, they are usually distant noise.

    • It’s an easy holiday here. Our weather dropped 30 degrees almost instantly so today we will struggle to reach 70. That may make my plants happy. Cats are very happy to be back to normal or as close to normal as we get.

    • Thanks. Everyone is pretty relaxed. That is until Tuesday when painters are coming to turn their world upside down. It’s only for a day so they should get over it fast.

    • She was in my lap for the boopable shot but she wouldn’t stay still. I had a heckuva time getting any that weren’t major blurred. She has the most expressive face but is hard to photograph. As soon as I get out the black box she’s all “wanna play?”

    In the past I would have been able to scroll through my posts for the month and get some clue about the passage of time, but my posts in June are almost non-existent. 😀

    • No one puts Sasha in a corner! Since last week I haven’t seen any attempts by Gus to subjugate her. She is a self-confident, bossy cat. Wish I were just like her!

        • As long as she had an audience, she would have done ok. As an only cat, not so much. I’ve said it before, I think all cats like a feline buddy. Sometimes they may not be paired with someone they like (they are no different than us people) but I still think they enjoy company.
