First fireworks season (not counting memorial day) in this house. My cats usually aren’t bothered but then again, they are usually distant noise.

It’s an easy holiday here. Our weather dropped 30 degrees almost instantly so today we will struggle to reach 70. That may make my plants happy. Cats are very happy to be back to normal or as close to normal as we get.

Everyone here loves it — two legged and four legged. It’s very soft and warm but not heavy. The cats are on it all the time! It’s from Pottery Barn. It’s the cloud linen handcrafted quilt.

She was in my lap for the boopable shot but she wouldn’t stay still. I had a heckuva time getting any that weren’t major blurred. She has the most expressive face but is hard to photograph. As soon as I get out the black box she’s all “wanna play?”

No one puts Sasha in a corner! Since last week I haven’t seen any attempts by Gus to subjugate her. She is a self-confident, bossy cat. Wish I were just like her!

As long as she had an audience, she would have done ok. As an only cat, not so much. I’ve said it before, I think all cats like a feline buddy. Sometimes they may not be paired with someone they like (they are no different than us people) but I still think they enjoy company.
