Hazel is feeling her old chipper self. Sleepy is her natural look. To treat her recent bout of explosive diarrhea I used pro-pectalin which is an over-the-counter medication. I keep it in the house because that’s Hazel’s preferred way of getting sick.
Here is Mollie (our beauty queen) lounging on the window counter. We were prepping for some weekend company and she’s exhausted. She’s complained about the lack of breaks and a catnip dispenser. Not sure if she’ll take this gig next year.
Morgan is sleeping with her bestie, the beloved husband. There are more comfortable positions but whatever works.
Gracie is down for the count. Very exhausting afternoon!
Have a great weekend from our house to yours.

Cats have an exhausting life. Eating, playing, pooping. No wonder they sleep 80% of the time. I totally understand.

Gracie came from a hoarding situation. She didn’t have health care but she obviously was very well socialized. She isn’t afraid of anything and you can see that she sleeps without worry. Looks like she’s dancing with the angels in her dreams.

Thanks. I’d be in a deep dark hole without them. I’d also have more time on my hands. No hairballs, no furniture to de-fur, no complex feeding schedule (preferably every 20 minutes).

Your beloved husband sleeps in a position very similar to my husband’s favorite nap position! Very familiar to me. 🙂 I’m glad the cats are doing well and perhaps as you approach Christmas they can just decide to stay in this peaceful mode. You don’t need the excitement of explosive diarrhea! Oh my!

I don’t know how he sleeps like that but he will do that for 2 hours at a time. Once my head starts nodding (and hopefully it’s not during a party) I go to bed.

Way back when I had a single lens SLR I took pictures of my cat Noah. I have half an album of fabulous pictures. She was a beautiful calico with lots of white who allowed me to take pictures. Then there were two other beauties and I have some pictures of them. I have about 50 pictures of Jake but the four I have now, there are tons of pictures. Photography got easier and so did storage. Sometimes I feel like that parent who has more pictures of the first born only in reverse.

The product you use for the diarrhea…is that a cat product? Where do you get it? We need some of that on hand around here.

Yes it is a cat and dog product with the cat dosage lower. I bought the first tube from my vet last year when Hazel had a diarrhea spell but the last one I got from Chewy. It’s a kao-pectate product. I have the tube gel to put in their mouth but it comes in pill form too if that’s easier. Typically it helps in one or two doses but this last round took a whole week.

I can’t sleep like that. I can however find some odd ways to sleep according to Michelle. One the snoring subject, the dogs snore louder than me.

That was part of series I took while she was rutching around while sleeping. It’s the only one that wasn’t too badly blurred. She is a hoot when she sleeps. Odd positions and snores like a drunk sailor. Too bad photos don’t have sound tracks.
