Sassy cat — Fun photos and an update

Gus is hugging me here. He’s my buddy.

Sasha the magnificent here. Today is a quickie. That’s what the peep calls it. I’ve been barfing a lot again lately so she is working on switching up foods. I eat most anything she’ll put down but I don’t always keep it down. Sometimes I decorate the carpets or the furniture. She’s not a fan of my artistry. Anyhow she has some new pics and maybe there will be a barfy update next week.

We are doing the upstairs-downstairs nap here. Notice I am napping NEXT to the cat bed that is supposed to keep the loveseat free from fur!

Here is my handsome guy. If you look closely you can see a tongue blep. He’s sending kisses! He says to tell Susannah there is one for her too!

Have a great barf-free weekend.

  1. Kate – I have something fun to share with you, Sasha and Gus. This Facebook video of the 7-week-old Bobcat I’ve mentioned to you before. He has graduated to a bottle, instead of a syringe. He is very sweet in this video. The first part, Annette King, who runs the sanctuary is covering his muzzle … she says he has sharp teeth! Later you see his face and she burps him. :)

      • I know – so sweet! I almost included the video of it from this morning with the syringe, but I didn’t want to overdo it. :) Between the baby bobcat, baby beaver (from a few months ago) and Simon, the opossum that someone had for a pet, then couldn’t keep it, so it is unreleasable and cuddles with the staff, I am hooked on all Annette’s videos.

          • I like people that care about baby animals too Kate. They are a good bunch of folks at that rescue … Annette’s husband and daughter are also there and they live next door, right on the property. She even has cameras she watches from her home when she has baby animals that she is worried about for overnight and she puts them in “the nursery” with a baby monitor rigged to their home.

I like their vet too. He is a volunteer as well. He comes in as needed and they show a lot of videos of him giving chiropractic “cracks” to Duncan, the gray fox which they believe was shaken by a predator when it was a baby. Even their photographer is a volunteer. If I lived near there, I’d be there too … they get hundreds of baby squirrels and rabbits they must bottle feed, people find them fallen out of their nest, or the rabbit’s nest has been washed away by rain. I’d be in my glory.

  2. Sasha, I’m sorry to hear about your tummy problems … hopefully the Peep figures out what the problem is after switching foods. I did smile that you are supposed to sleep in your cat bed and not on the couch, but I’m sure the Peep is glad that’s all you did on the couch since you like to decorate different areas of the house. :) Gus is a sweetie … give Gus a kiss back from me okay?

  3. Awwww……sweet photos but sorry to hear about Miss Barfy. Hopefully the food change will be “just the ticket”. Gus is doing a good job looking after her though it appears. Oh – before I go may I say that I totally 150% agree with your “sack of potatoes” reference to uncooperative cats. In my case with Ted that’s a 33 lb. sack of potatoes and holy moly that’s a tough one to move!!!!

    Hugs, Pam

  4. Dear Sasha,

Wasn’t that kiss nice of Gus? What do you mean no. I think you’re just feeling a bit under the weather. Be happy you’ll have different food. It will be like a buffet at a wedding.

See if the Peep has a Rolaid laying around. Or maybe some mint tea. Here’s hoping you feel better, and tell Gus the dreamboat thanks for that smooch. Your Friend,

    Susannah

  5. Sasha, no more barfing… you make us all worry. Maybe it is just me and the Lady Peep that worry. I mean, cats barf. Sasha, your Lady Peep is making me do some kind of strange log in here that I have never seen or had to do before. Fingers crossed. New photos are the sweetest as usual. The blep is always an extra!
