Sasha the magnificent here. This week we’ve had a visitor. Not the two-legged kind (we had that too but it wasn’t near as exciting!), but a four-legged one. We all got pretty excited but the peep wouldn’t let us bring him in. She is no fun!
He came a couple of days after breakfast to say hi. The peep was not amused. That’s a window screen he’s climbing on. Probably has holes in it now.
Hope your week was as exciting as ours and have a great and squirrel filled weekend!

Aww…he just wanted to come in and play. Great shots!

Looks like he really wanted to get in. How sweet of you kitties to want to invite him in. 🙂 Have a nice weekend.

Yes it was. The peep would let us and we couldn’t get the window open! 😉

Excellent reporting, Sasha! Those pesky squirrels are definitely bothersome, but they entertain me, too! I hope the screen didn’t sustain too much damage. I have recently lost a couple of nice pots because the squirrels like to dig in them and bury acorns, but occasionally they get a little overzealous! Keep on the alert!

The peep sometimes gets something (like squirrels) digging in her deck rail pots.

Well Sasha, that cutie-pie squirrel has four legs, fur and a fluffy tail and is smart (like you all), so what is not to love? I get it, but then I like squirrels … a lot! I was wondering what the squirrel was hanging onto in the third picture from the bottom. Silly me, didn’t think of the screen and yes, it probably has holes from those sharp claws. Put some coal in that squirrel’s Christmas stocking for sure!

I checked the screen and there were no holes in it, at least big ones. I don’t open those windows so it’s not critical. We all had fun with him.

You lucked out then. Those sharp claws would usually tear the screen. I hope he comes back and you get more pictures.

Get some peanuts in the shell and put them out for him. Not on the window ledge so you have to open the windows, but nearby and even once or twice and that squirrel will be a regular visitor. For years I put peanuts on the brick wall ledge near the garage – it was for a pair of Blue Jays, or I should say, I “assumed” the Blue Jays were getting the peanuts. Marge, my next door neighbor got her first desktop computer and turned the extra bedroom into her computer room. She faced our house/the wall and one day she e-mailed me a photo of the squirrel we fed (a/k/a “Sammy”) scaling the bricks to get to the peanuts. I always fed him as I walked out the door to go to work. So she looked every morning after that and sure enough, Sammy scaled the wall in record time, got the peanuts and went back down, head first!

I wonder if the squirrel was curious or if it just liked to tease the cats. Either way, it made for some funny pictures. I hope your screen survived.

I’m not sure but he was swishing his butt around like he was enjoying himself. I’ll have to check the screen.

Sasha, this could be a little movie…an Indie special. That squirrel could be a stunt squirrel. He’s so agile and yes, he was a big tease. Morgan’s been under the weather. Hope he didn’t cause too much excitement since your sib is supposed to be resting.

It was fun and we got all twisted up trying to be close! Morgan does ok. Still has the throat thing going on but she’s not sick in any other way.

That squirrel is such a tease!… stinker! The squirrels on The Tiny Ten ruined our screens. We finally just took them off! That’s not possible for you I know… The Sassy Cats like their fresh air. He sure has your attention Sassy Cats! Our week was peaceful with good weather and we had dinner al fresco two nights with friends. That made it a good week 🙂

We don’t open the side windows so we don’t need those screens. He was quite entertaining. He would turn his tush and moon them while shaking his booty. All those pictures are blurred. I should have switched to video. We missed him today. Glad you are having good weather. We are into cold and dreary with a touch of windy this weekend.

Those are quite some acrobatics from the squirrel! Blimey!

Considering this is a second story window and he had to jump from a tree that wasn’t all that close, he could work for Cirque Soleil!

Terrific pics. I won’t let Wilson know how close you got; he’d be sad he couldn’t help you guys out. Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving.

Wilson would have broken through the window!

Not likely but he might have deafened everyone with his bark.

Yes, It went on for about an hour for each visit. Then they needed a long nap to recuperate! Silly squirrel kept coming back each morning. I have a blurry picture of it mooning the cats up close!

Love the squirrel mooning the cats – would have loved to have seen that!! Bet it made Sasha nuts (no pun intended

She did love it. Gus was active smacking the window to say hi. Morgan eventually got bored (or maybe was tired of being run over by the other two) and left.

Aren’t they the best pictures? As if someone said…action and they all ran to the window.

WOW! I wonder if he was the “Thanksgiving Squirrel” or the “Christmas Squirrel” coming to see if anybody accidentally had some kind of food hanging out of a window that he could eat. As if! Anyway, he’s cute – does that count for something? Also cute is the three of you checking him out. I used to chase them in the yard when I had one of my supervised “outs” but these days I just watch them when I’m out there……Anyway, hope your Thanksgiving brought you each a tiny taste of one of the goodies the humans had on their plates. Mom gave me some turkey but I only ate the gravy she’d dumped on top of it.
Hugs, Teddy

We don’t like people food but we got good treats! Mr. Squirrel wasn’t there yesterday and we were disappointed. He must have had a family dinner to go to.

Sasha, I’m so glad everyone’s getting some quality screen time in! Clever photos, too. You have to admit, the peep did a great job with those. The synchronized head-tracking is very good, like The Rockettes. Squirrel must be pretty proud of himself that he can cause this amount of excitement unscathed. Enjoy your nutty friend!
