Sasha here. This was a hectic, busy week. The peep got her pooper checked. She spent a lot of time on her porcelain litter box getting ready. We were our normal caring selves. We sat with her (demanding pets and scratchies) and reminded her when it was dinnertime (it’s the least we could do even though she couldn’t eat anything). She was a diva about the whole thing. You’d think life revolved around her instead of us.
Her appointment was at dark o’clock, which meant we ate breakfast early (early is better than late). When she came home, we all napped together. We purred her back to life. That helped a lot along with a mocha latte.
I saved the best news for last. We wanted to do something special for her like a religious sacrifice, so we rounded up a mouse, killed it and put it in the walkway for her to see as she left. At first, she thought it was Gus’s toy, but his toy doesn’t have feetsies. The male peep disposed of it and off they went. She liked our gesture. She left muttering stuff, probably thanks.
We are available if you need any medical caretaking. Have tuna, will travel!
Have a great weekend and happy Halloween!

Cat therapy to the rescue! Glad all went well with the procedure, and at least there was a mocha latte to make up for it 🙂

It didn’t quite make up for it but at least it was something.

True. And at certain times, something is good enough.

What thoughtful caregivers you all were. I am sure she was very touched by your mouse gift. Almost up to par with the mocha latte.
Yay on all being over and good results! 💕

She was very happy with us! She gets to practice her vocabulary with us.

Sasha, you all did very well as caretakers and the mouse was a first-rate move! I am sure the Lady Peep’s muttering was a huge bunch of thankful!

I had an orange cat named Charlie that was the best little guy I have ever had. When I had a migraine, which got to be quite frequent for a while, he would just stay with me while I was riding it out in the dark in bed.
He never bugged me to feed him or even pet him, but he did hug my head and purr in my ear. He was the sweetest little guy, and I still miss him so.
Cats are the best creatures.

Test was good and yes, we are very thoughtful. When she came home we demanded treats! After all, we went through it with her and she had her mocha treat.

Oh Sasha, you are hilarious! I needed a laugh today, thank you! I would send you a case of tuna if I could.

Hmmmm…we could arrange that but without the peep knowing.

They take such good care of you and give you gifts too. Glad your results were good.

They do. They seem to know the difference between a lazy day nap and an “I’m not feeling so great” nap.

How thoughtful of the kitties to give you a mouse to help take your mind off your impending procedure – that’s very nice and they deserve extra treats for being such wonderful caretakers.

It sure was a distraction. At least they didn’t bite the head off.

Thank goodness for that – it would make a lousy morning even lousier!

I have no idea how I got through my pooper checking procedure without help from you three. I didn’t even get a mouse sacrifice!

We are sorry. Call us next time! We’ll send you a mousie from Harry and David too.

That mouse was a humble sacrifice for the peep’s well being, I am sure. And you did nap with her. Glad she got that mocha latte and she will not have to have another colonoscopy for a long time. Happy Halloween!

Have tuna will travel did ya say? I’m in.
And as far as gifts go, remember it’s the thought that counts. But who wouldn’t want a dead mouse, and one with footsies no less? One gets pretty tired of flowers and candy. Or pooped, in your Peep’s case. 🙂

They say it was from Harry and David. What more can you ask for?

Yes we are just wonderful! She should have been more grateful about the mouse. We spent time deciding what to do for her and got a nice plump one.

You got yourself three “mouse-cateers” just in time for Halloween! Since the offering was intact, perhaps they got it at Whole Rodents. So thoughtful, those nursemaids…

You survived AND got good results! Yay!
Alas, the mouse did not survive, but they need to learn to stay outside when cats are on duty!

This was a robust healthy looking mouse but it should have stayed outside in the shed.

Well believe me your “Female Caretaker” is a lot happier than you all are that the pooper check is over with – hopefully all is well in “that area” ! Nice to give her a “going away mouse” to cheer her up on the way for the procedure. That’s very thoughtful. Hopefully the household routine is back to whatever NORMAL is NORMAL for you all……….Happy Halloween!
