The best windows are open with blankies to make the landing soft. All the cats love to smell the outside (and hiss at the neighbor cats who intrude in their yard!). I was remiss yesterday and didn’t open the window despite perfect “open window” weather. The cats had a meeting and I was duly chastised.
Here are some pics of various cats (here and gone) and how they loved the open window.
Our message is to find an open window and take a nap!

OMG – all your beautiful cats! Mine always loved when the windows were open too 🙂 So many smells to smell!

Nothing better than a nap by an open window! The pictures of your dearly departed cats made me wonder how you organize and (cat)egorize all your photos. You must have zillions.

I have a lot more of the newer cats than the older ones but I don’t take as many as a lot of people. My cats sleep a lot so all those pictures look alike. It’s hard getting unusual shots when they are older. They are categorized by name, then by the primary striking thing in the picture — expression, pose, where they are, what they are doing.

So the cats had a meeting…… Gotta love an open window. Mollie is a real cutie – a tiger cat.

Actually Mollie was a calico. Hazel was a tiger but the picture is dark.

We agree 100% with naps and open windows. Such sweet kitties from the past-thanks for sharing those precious faces.

Sorry to read this so late since it’s pretty wonderful. Love that they had a meeting. I can just see. Sasha with the gavel. But the best part was seeing Mollie, Hazel and Gracie. Such beautiful, unforgettable girls. sigh

I enjoyed looking at pictures of them choosing just the right one. Miss them all. Did not find a picture of Jake or Hazel on the windows sill.

I’m sure you have others though that we’d all love to see. 🙂

Mollie was quite the looker! Yes, I always advocate for fresh air and naps. We can learn so much from kitties!

Mollie was beautiful. I adopted her as an adult cat surrendered with her kitten. I couldn’t figure out why anyone would surrender her. She was beautiful and a great cat without any bad habits. My only regret was that her kitten was already adopted when I saw her or I would have adopted them both.

She is beautiful. It is a shame she couldn’t keep her kitten, though.

The kitten was around 3 months old but the two of them were wrapped together in that cage. Hope he went to a good home.

Could you trust them not to abscond through the open window? Or was there always a screen?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Always a secure screen. Once Hazel pushed a screen out that wasn’t quite clicked in. She fell from the second floor into a lilac bush. Fortunately all that was damaged was her pride.

The sun rays coming through the window. not to mention the comfy cushions, would beckon me to have a nap there!

I always wished I could fit there.

WHY? Open the windows! My cats have a cat door & love the outdoors.

It’s too dangerous to let them out here. Too many predators.

All really lovely cats. They do love being close to nature.

Well I would be demanding….oops I mean asking politely….for Mom to open a window for me if I wasn’t allowed outside privileges – which fortunately I am. I spent most days on the front porch or lying under the azalea bushes in front of the porch with my humans keeping an eye on me. I sleep. Love that fresh air like you all do!!!
Hugs, Teddy

You are lucky. My cats don’t go out. The window is their opportunity to smell the fresh air!

Windows are the best! It’s an absolute mystery to us why you Humans ever close them. Purrs, Darth Vader, et. al.

Sweetest post and photos of the Sassy Cats… and the best advice I have had today! Find an open window and take a nap! Thanks to the Sassy Cats and the Lady Peep♥

I don’t fit so well on the window sill but one nearby isn’t bad.

It’s so nice having the windows open right now. That short time of year between summer (too hot) and winter (too cold) when the temperature is just right for open windows. Cute photos.

I could not find a picture of Morgan or Sasha on the window sill. I know for sure that Sasha naps there but I have to keep an eye out for Morgan. She loves the cat tree next to it.
