Sassy cats — Mostly Sasha

Sasha: Gawd, it’s finally Friday! Thought it would never get here!

Since Mollie passed several years ago, Sasha is my most photographic cat. Her facial expressions are adorable and sometimes exasperating. It’s truly hard to get annoyed at her (yet I do!). You can ask Gus. She will wake him up from a deep sleep and demand that he groom her face. He does it. Even Morgan will allow a good sniffing (Morgan does not like to be sniffed!).

Yes, that’s Sasha using the iron cat as a pillow. How is that comfortable?

She is the heart of the cat group. Morgan is the perfect cat — no drama, no eating issues, no health stuff. Gus is the lover. He’s having a love affair with my right leg and with Sasha. (He’s a firm believer of “love the one you’re with.”) Sasha is the one with the giddyap and go. Lotsa drama. Lotsa “in your face” time. No concept of personal space. Still doesn’t like visitors. She can hear a cat food can open three doors down.

Mollie is giving the new kid a bath!

I was lucky. I adopted her because she hid from potential adopters and was aging out of the young cute stage. I had no idea if she would work with the existing crew. Mollie took her under her paw and all was good. She even stayed with Mollie when Mollie was sick. All of us are lucky. Sasha makes it a fun place.

(RIP) Mollie: You did good little grasshopper!

    • Mollie was gorgeous. Someone surrendered her with her kitten. I would have adopted the kitten too (a gray tabby) but someone else had already claimed it. She was a good cat too. I can’t imagine anyone surrendering her.

  1. Sasha lights up the group. My dog Tre is like that with cuteness and photos. He’s so cute it’s difficult to get annoyed with him, but I still do. My husband gives into the cuteness every time. Have a nice weekend, Kate.

  2. The photo of Sasha with the iron cat is funny and adorable. I think Sasha is smiling. It is so sweet to see Mollie. I miss her. Sasha is a good fit. I am glad she landed with you. They really all seem to be a good cat family. EveryBODY does their thing and you let them be themselves. It’s nice to see the Sassy Cats today… I needed some Sassy Cats.

  3. What a beautiful group of kitties. Our Kizmet always has to be in our personal space, but she is afraid of nothing and loves everybody who comes through the door. We cannot believe we have not met previously. We saw you at Two Spoiled Cats and decided to check you out. We asked our mom to subscribe and she did. • It would be. She has gifted him her favor by climbing into his lap a few times in the last few months. She doesn’t usually do that. He doesn’t feed them food or treats so he’s just a guy hanging out here.

  4. Aww, how lovely of you to adopt the less obvious (to others, anyway) candidate. I adopted Catorze for that same reason: black, adult rather than kitten, health problems galore and the longest-staying resident at the rescue. Also a massive shite, but we didn’t find out that bit until it was too late.

  5. Angel Mollie – gorgeous…..I just love watching cats “fit in” with an existing family……they just DO. Getting to know them and watching them do the same thing with their fellow cat family means never a dull moment. We also love your other “kids”. Life is just more FUN with pets – they bring out the best in us and vice versa.

    Hugs, Pam
