Sassy cats – Buttercups!

Our lively board meeting. Our discussions get intense.

Gracie here. We had contractors here again this week. This group was called inspectors. Seems to me that all they do is look and say “yep, it’s done. Here’s my bill.” The peep says it’s the end.

Sasha: Are they gone?

Sasha gave her a stink eye but she has been coming out from under the bed more. This morning she sat on the peep’s head at 6 a.m.

Us cats had a board meeting (without the peep) and voted to put a moratorium on house projects, at least the inside ones. We didn’t get enough attention this summer and we intend to make the peep pay for that. We also increased treat time and open window time.

I looked at the fall schedule and three cats need a vet visit. That’s the worst. Sasha and Morgan just need shots but Gus still has a dental hanging over his head. I’m good except for my fetish with rotisserie chicken which isn’t going away. The peep has not found chicken cat food that is close enough to fool me and she’s tried.

The peep went to a people vet this week. He told her she’s good considering how old she is. She’s like 800 in cat years. Her version is, “buckle up buttercup, aging is a roller coaster ride.” We are pleased that her opposable thumbs are still working.

That’s the news that’s fit to print! Have a great weekend!

  1. Gracie, I’m glad you straightened out the Peep on matters of annoying contractors and disruptive schedules … sometimes you just gotta lay it on the line, don’t you? That’s good the Peep’s vet visit went well so she’ll be around a long time to bow to you and your pals wishes, right? While I think you are the cutest kitty, I have to tell you that is an adorable photo of Sasha.

  2. You know Gracie, saying your Mistress is 800 in cat years won’t entice her to buy any chicken. Be nicer, will you please? Her summer wasn’t exactly on the Riviera either.

By the way, rumor had it you were headed to the Democratic Convention coming out for Kamala. I kept looking for you. I think I did see Gus who, the gent he is, I’ll bet insisted on escorting you.

Now I know why he had an ice pack on his face,,,those darned teeth again.

  3. Everything sounds great! Glad you are all doing your jobs and keeping the house running smoothly. Nice pics as well. I would stay on that chicken thing, too. You don’t want the peep to sneak in some kind of faux rotisserie on you!

  5. Yes, keep those opposing thumbs going! 😄
LOL about the board meeting. Sounds like the cats have it all settled! 🙂
    GL on the vet visits!
Glad the human vet visit went OK. It definitely is a roller coaster ride! 🎢 I have seen more human vets than I have wanted to recently!

  6. Thankfully Ted is all “vet approved” for this year BUT we have the “wrestling him into the cat hotel for vacation” THING to look forward to in October. He loves the place he stays – loves it a lot – but getting him there is the wrestling match we dread. Sigh – I’ll just remind myself VACATION VACATION VACATION and it will be less painful. Nice you have no reno stuff to worry about isn’t it. YAY!

    Hugs, Pam

  7. Good to hear that all is good with the Lady Peep. The End with the inspectors sounds good… even if the inspectors don’t even really inspect. What is the status of rotisserie chicken? Is the Lady Peep still witholding that on you or is it still on the menu due to no chicken CAT food has been found that you like. Did the Lady Peep think this was Friday? I thought it was Friday when I saw this post!

    • Definitely the peep. Gus won’t know it’s coming (she will). He will get a lot of attention at the vet (and still won’t know what’s coming but she will). Then the peep brings him home and worries (he won’t).
