Sassy cats — Crazy peeps

It’s all so exhausting!

Gracie here. Doggone peep is busy clearing out the bathroom for the renovation project and forgot today is Friday. If only I had opposable thumbs.

The male got a new office chair. It’s something new to barf on except it’s leather. Doesn’t have the same impact. Until trash pick-up day, the old one is in a weird spot that we cats are enjoying. It’s like a carousel. If you jump on it right, it will spin around. Cool.

Say what?

Gus doesn’t know it but he’s going to the vet on Tuesday. It’s a pre-dental visit with a discussion on what food he needs following his urinary procedure. The peep is hoping for non-specific good quality cat food rather than the prescription food that no one eats. His appointment is at 8 a.m. The peep doesn’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. He normally eats at 7. She may hold off until after the visit. Once he’s eaten he may likes to play hide and seek. That’s not her favorite game when she has places to be.

Sasha doesn’t know there will be contractors swarming the house the week after next. It’s best that she doesn’t know. It would make her more skittish around peeps.

This picture made the peep happy. All four of us were in the same room. I’m sleeping on her legs so you can’t see me. That gray log is Morgan with the other two in their favorite spots.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I’m going to just wish you all the luck in the world – with the v e t and the c o n t r a c t o r and even the wheelie chair.

You could be going out of your mind drawing circles with us, you know.

  2. Gracie…imagining you spinning on the now vacant chair, I’m hearing riffs from Blood, Sweat & Tears (Spinning Wheel) and had to smile just picturing it. Let the reno begin (and let it go as planned and on schedule)!

  3. I have not mentioned to Edward, the Yorkie that he is being groomed this week. Nor have I mentioned to his Lab mix brother that he will have his nails clipped.
A lot of screaming in this place will be going on! Karlan

  4. Fingers crossed for a good appointment at the V E T for Gus. Lucky somebody cancelled and you were moved up! Get it done and over with and enjoy your new bathroom! Good update, Gracie. Hope the Sassy Cats and the Peeps have a good weekend. Good Morning!

    • Gus’ apt is at 8 a.m. Working on a strategy for “catching” him that early. Maybe snag him before breakfast. Or maybe afterward but then he may poop in the carrier! Decisions, decisions…

  5. Take advantage of that carousel ride while you can gang…….we hope Gus’s appointment goes SMOOTHLY. We also hope that bathroom reno doesn’t send all of you into “hidey” mode. Maybe it will go smoothly and quickly and life can carry on??? Time will tell……..!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  6. Gracie – take a spin on the carousel chair for me too okay? I hope Gus is in and out of the vet quickly – he had enough “vet time” earlier this year with his surgery.

    • You know how that goes. Right now I’m worried getting him in the carrier. It’s an early apt so I can’t sneak up on him while he’s napping. I’m pretty sure there will be a dental in his future.

  7. Gus’s dental visit. The poor guy, after what he just went through. Can’t ya just teach him to floss? He’s smart. He’ll pick it up.

Love the couch photo. So homey.

Oh yeah…Gracie’s term, ‘the male’ is a hoot.

  8. Good report on the crazy peeps and happy cats, Gracie. Enjoy the fun on the carousel while it is there. I hope Gus does well. I am sure the peeps are happy the renovation start moved up. Good luck to all!

  9. I thought your renovation had been moved to July for some reason, but it sounds like you will be getting renovated at the same time we are. Hopefully both projects go smoothly. We’re busy cleaning out the kitchen…sigh.

    • It is. Throwing out out of date meds and cosmetics. We moved here in Feb 2021 and there is a lot of out of date stuff. Our start date was moved up so we are chugging along.
