Gracie here. Doggone peep is busy clearing out the bathroom for the renovation project and forgot today is Friday. If only I had opposable thumbs.
The male got a new office chair. It’s something new to barf on except it’s leather. Doesn’t have the same impact. Until trash pick-up day, the old one is in a weird spot that we cats are enjoying. It’s like a carousel. If you jump on it right, it will spin around. Cool.
Gus doesn’t know it but he’s going to the vet on Tuesday. It’s a pre-dental visit with a discussion on what food he needs following his urinary procedure. The peep is hoping for non-specific good quality cat food rather than the prescription food that no one eats. His appointment is at 8 a.m. The peep doesn’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. He normally eats at 7. She may hold off until after the visit. Once he’s eaten he may likes to play hide and seek. That’s not her favorite game when she has places to be.
Sasha doesn’t know there will be contractors swarming the house the week after next. It’s best that she doesn’t know. It would make her more skittish around peeps.

This picture made the peep happy. All four of us were in the same room. I’m sleeping on her legs so you can’t see me. That gray log is Morgan with the other two in their favorite spots.
Have a great weekend!

Enjoy your temporary chair rides! Hope Gus does OK with his v e t visit!

Gus made out ok. No immediate dental and he doesn’t need to be on the yucky special diet. Win-win.

I’m going to just wish you all the luck in the world – with the v e t and the c o n t r a c t o r and even the wheelie chair.
You could be going out of your mind drawing circles with us, you know.

Love the picture of everyone lounging together yet separately. Imagining Gracie on your lap, Kate!

It was heartwarming. They don’t sleep on piles, not even Sasha and Gus, but sometimes they are scattered in the same area.

Gracie…imagining you spinning on the now vacant chair, I’m hearing riffs from Blood, Sweat & Tears (Spinning Wheel) and had to smile just picturing it. Let the reno begin (and let it go as planned and on schedule)!

We have a trash can. Our British friends have bin days too. Does it come with catnip?

We have WHEELIE BINS. Well, we personally donβt, because we went on a march protesting against them, but everyone else does. No catnip, sadly!

You protested bins? Wow!

We did! π€£π€£π€£ We all took the offending bins with us on the march, then abandoned them when the police were called to disperse us β¦ forgetting that our house numbers were on the bins.

I have not mentioned to Edward, the Yorkie that he is being groomed this week. Nor have I mentioned to his Lab mix brother that he will have his nails clipped.
A lot of screaming in this place will be going on! Karlan

They are not fond of grooming. Perhaps if you sell it as a spa day? With treats?

Fingers crossed for a good appointment at the V E T for Gus. Lucky somebody cancelled and you were moved up! Get it done and over with and enjoy your new bathroom! Good update, Gracie. Hope the Sassy Cats and the Peeps have a good weekend. Good Morning!

Gus’ apt is at 8 a.m. Working on a strategy for “catching” him that early. Maybe snag him before breakfast. Or maybe afterward but then he may poop in the carrier! Decisions, decisions…

Take advantage of that carousel ride while you can gang…….we hope Gus’s appointment goes SMOOTHLY. We also hope that bathroom reno doesn’t send all of you into “hidey” mode. Maybe it will go smoothly and quickly and life can carry on??? Time will tell……..!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

Yes we are all in a suspended state of affairs. Or is it a stupor. I have to ask the peep. A round of catnip all around please!

Gracie – take a spin on the carousel chair for me too okay? I hope Gus is in and out of the vet quickly – he had enough “vet time” earlier this year with his surgery.

This trip will be an in and out but if he needs a dental, that will be a whole day under anesthesia. Poor guy. He will have had procedures on both ends this year.

Hope Gus doesn’t need a dental – poor boy has endured enough this year and the year is not even half over!

He does. I’ve been told twice by two different vets. One of his side teeth needs to be pulled.

You know how that goes. Right now I’m worried getting him in the carrier. It’s an early apt so I can’t sneak up on him while he’s napping. I’m pretty sure there will be a dental in his future.

Yeah, poor Gus. I put it off long enough. He needs to have his teeth checked out.

Gus’s dental visit. The poor guy, after what he just went through. Can’t ya just teach him to floss? He’s smart. He’ll pick it up.
Love the couch photo. So homey.
Oh yeah…Gracie’s term, ‘the male’ is a hoot.

Poor Gus. He’s been through a lot but he needs to get it done before he has a lot of pain.

Awe!!! I understand. As a kid I HATED the dentist so as a bribe, I’d get a special treat. Could ya maybe promise him when he gets home, his own salmon? No sharing.
Yeah, that means you too Gracie. π

Funny story — whenever a cat goes to the vet, they come home starving. Even if they ate shortly before the appointment. There is something about the vet that gets those gastric juices rolling. He’s not a fan of fish but he’ll get something good.

I’m so glad, being his lawyer and all. π

Gus loves that bed. Hardly anyone else can sleep there. Those heated legs are wonderful! Sometimes she pulls out and I sleep there until morning.

I thought your renovation had been moved to July for some reason, but it sounds like you will be getting renovated at the same time we are. Hopefully both projects go smoothly. We’re busy cleaning out the kitchen…sigh.

It was. Then we got a call that another client wanted to delay so they switched up. It’s exciting yet I’m dreading the chaos. Can’t believe how much junk we accumulated in 3 years.
