Gracie here. The peep has had an exhausting week so she asked me update you. Gus is stable waiting for his surgical consultation on Tuesday. The peep is not so stable (but is she ever?). We are all hoping for the best. Poor Gus doesn’t know he will be doing a fast before his vet visit. That won’t make him happy.
The diet is still going on. So far this year Gus has lost 19 ounces or a little over a pound. It’s better than gaining. The rest of us are suffering though. We miss having a nice pot of kibble sitting out. Meal times are a zoo because we are not allowed to eat each other’s food. Watching us makes the peep late for her mocha and that doesn’t make her happy.
Gus and Sasha have made upย and are more disgusting than ever. Maybe he smelled funny from the vet’s place. Sasha now allows him to groom her and tell her how beautiful she is. (Gag!)
That’s about it. You’ll hear from us next week when we find out more about Gus’s condition. In the meantime send him some purrs and good wishes.

Thanks for the update Gracie. Gus has got the power of the Peep’s blogging friends behind him. You keep us posted, okay?

If it weren’t for her bloggy friends, she’d be off the rails! She’s a worrywart, especially about us cats.

That should make you and the other cats feel very special Gracie. BTW: we know more about you than you think we do. ๐ Good luck tomorrow to your brother.

PS Rootin’ for Gus. Should have said that first.

I’m in love with your cardinal pillow. Gracie sure knows how to snooze alright. I remember when you got her. ๐

They all know how to snooze!

Wish I could snooze that way. I’m always like a fireman on duty waiting for the bell to go off. Maybe Gracie could teach a seminar. ๐

You’re not just whistling Dixie there Madam. Starting with making sure we get our calcium by drinking lots of milk.
I had a cat who knew where it was in the fridge and would bound over whenever I’d open the door. Margie was her name. I rescued her from an all night newspaper store. The man would throw things at her because as a kitten, she liked to toss the candy off the shelf. I went one night and stole her. ๐

Her ashes are in my closet in what looks like a Chinese food container. I loved her.

Definitely sending prayers and good wishes. Good for Gus on his weight loss and everyBODY that helped make it happen. I read that weight loss can help with his issue. I am also sending prayers that this gets resolved so that your Lady Peep has one less stressy thing to handle right now.

I weighed Sasha this morning and she’s down a pound too. That’s good news. She’s a smaller build than Gus but weighed almost the same.

Sending purrs and good wishes always. Photos of cats lounging about reminds me of how I need to slowdown and lollygag on the sofa, too.

Sending pawsitive thoughts for Gus’ upcoming vet visit. Glad the lovers are reunited once again. That pic is just too adorable.

That is a common pose either in or out of the cat bed. Sasha is a lovey cat (with other cats). While dissing Gus she was trying to warm up to Morgan who let her snuggle a little but Morgan only snuggles with peeps so it always ended with a whap on the head.

Tee, hee…guess it never hurts to try, does it?

We have paws and fingers (as appropriate) crossed for dear Gus. Love the photo of Sasha and Gus making out. Tee Hee As for Mom – well – Moms are usually in a state of angst over something it seems…..and it gets a tad tiring. Sigh.
Hugs, Pam (and Teddy)

It’s all a bit overwhelming! The special diet for one cat is no walk in the park either.

Gus: Thanks! She’s my main squeeze but I did do a hump on the peep’s leg yesterday. Somehow it made her feel better. Like things were more normal. Peeps!

Good to see the lovebirds back in action. Maybe when Gus goes for his consult the peep will put out the pot of kibble for the rest of you again? Fingers crossed for favorable outcomes all around.

The peep is a pushover and yes she would love to put the kibble out especially if he’s in the hospital for a day or two. But then she has to wean us off again and we get all whiney. (or so she says!)

I want to weigh Sasha. Hopefully she has shed some ounces too. Morgan and Gracie are always whining for more food. I sneak food to them when I can. Their weight has always been perfect.

Stress may just change to the surgical date. I’ll be better when it’s all over. Hopefully the vet can talk me down off the ceiling.
