Sassy cats — Another week in paradise!

Gracie: This is my usual bird watching spot.

Gracie here. It’s been another non-descript week. Nothing much going on. I’m barfing but that’s gotten to be normal. Sasha is sleeping in my spot and Gus…well he’s Gus. The peep noticed that Morgan is a much happier (and better smelling) cat since her dental. We all think she had a lot of tooth pain.

Ellen from 15andmeowing sent Morgan a nice care package. Lotsa nip stuff. Gus stole the catnip toys. He’s a bigger catnip person than Morgan. (Apologies to Ellen. When I went to find the link to her blog, I realized she wasn’t on my blogroll. I also realized that it hasn’t been updated in ages. Several of the links are no longer active! Yikes!)

The peep keeps talking about having a board meeting. We will try to get some pictures, maybe for next week. We cats are not cooperative when she has something in mind. We may move it from the small board room (the powder room) to the large board room (the peep’s bathroom). We love to swarm in there when she’s trying to do business. I need to find my mallet to bring the meeting to order. Last time I saw it, Morgan was trying to bonk Sasha on the head! We are working on the agenda which mentions treats a lot! And rotisserie chicken.

This is Sasha with MY kicky stick. It’s blurred because…well…cat! The peep took a series but every one was blurred! You can see the new carpet with the swirly things. I did a major barf on it and it is easy to clean.

We’d like to welcome Nigel (even though he’s a dog!). Colin lost his beloved dog Ray a while back. Nigel has joined the family (to bring some stability to the peeps. You know how that works!) You can find him here.

Until next week, be kind and enjoy life!

  1. Good to hear Morgan is feeling better after her dental work. Jack is a super barfer. Every morning he upchucks his breakfast and then meows for more. The second helping stays down. Weird.

  2. Gracie – I’m glad you tested the new rug and found it barf-proof. So why not go for it, right? I’m glad you are assertive and stand up for your rights as to treats and rotisserie chicken. We’re going into the holiday season soon – extra treats I say!

    • It’s funny how that happens. Time goes by and all of a sudden people on the blog roll are no longer writer and people you follow aren’t on your blog roll. I wish there was an easy way to get them there.

  3. I’m so glad that Morgan is feeling better. I wish Gracie would stop the barfing, it would give me hope. But it’s nice she has the beautiful new rug to artfully decorate – and nice for the Peeps that it cleans up well.

Welcome to the new doggie. Nigel is a good, strong name. I hope that all goes well.

    • I have spent a lot of time and $$ getting Gracie checked out. Blood work 3 times plus x-rays. They can’t find a reason. She’s on hairball food but there is still a hairball every morning. I feel sorry for her because she puts a lot of work into barfing. Poor kitty.

  4. I am thinking your board meeting would be more fun than mine were at work! LOL!
Yay on Morgan feeling better. How thoughtful of Ellen to send a care package to her.
Sasha definitely looks like she loves the kicky stick. 🙂 You may need to get another one, Gracie. Happy weekend to you all!

  5. Gracie, it reads like it was a pretty good week. Peaceful with a little barf. Good to know the new rug cleans up well. It’s nice you share YOUR kicky stick with Sasha, she is having so much fun with it. I am hoping there will be a report on the board meeting!

  6. Blurry photos is the norm when you have pets…..funny how quickly they move the second they hear that button on the camera (or the flash heaven forbid). Glad Morgan seems happier since that major dental “experience” !!

    Hugs, Pam

  7. we are the masters of blurry photos too… but we saw how much joy Sascha had, so the mission of a photo what says 1000 words is completed… we love it… hugs to you all and a good weekend…
