There is something very special about my desk. All the cats except quirky Gracie will hop up there when I’m trying to work. They will walk on the keyboard and do things it takes me a half hour to undo. Morgan can engage Cortana, my vocal assistant in the computer. I’ve been grateful she hasn’t figure out how to order from Chewy or Amazon. Sometimes there are more than one cat on the desk.

Morgan is contemplating her next action. Engage Cortana to order ‘nip or delete files. What to do, what to do.
I don’t have a shot of Gus on the desk. Mostly he walks across it to jump in my lap. Maybe I’ll try a selfie with both of us next time he’s in the mood.
Everyone here including quirky Gracie wish you a great weekend.
I am sure that your cats pull up prior Sassy cat posts to ensure one cat does not have more blog mentions than the other ones. Then they will glare at you if that is the case.

It’s hard with the grays. At this point as the older cats, they aren’t as active. As grays they also aren’t as photogenic but I’ll still sneak them in.

Yes, sneak in their shots “at rest” – everyone gets a shot of fame in Mom’s blog. 🙂 I wrote about my canary a lot as he would be singing while I wrote and I had a post or two with pictures of him. Both my birds loved Christmas songs, especially Karen Carpenter’s singing and they would sing the entire song.

I had a canary that would sing when I played the piano.

They loved music and both mine had a “thing” for Karen Carpenter. I liked her voice too – maybe because she had some mellow tones, and they didn’t go crazy for Mariah Carey – me neither as she is too loud in my opinion. Buddy my last canary, would try to keep up with “Jingle Bells” which is a pretty fast song. 🙂

Morgan: I have one word for you: TUNA!!!!
Order the tuna. Or tell Cortana to order it. Either way. Have a great weekend!

Morgan: Tuna? That is rarer than hens teeth here. My peeps say it’s not good to have a lot of tuna. (What do they know?) Old Jake who left us many years ago was the big tuna guy. I would steal some of his. Maybe it’s time to order it myself.

Maybe they will let you order fresh salmon instead? Old Jake had good taste!

There was a post on that. I heard voices in the office and no one was home but me. Somehow in her rubbing the computer she activated the voice.

On most of my Zoom calls, my friends’ cats are always jumping in front of the screen. Cats make awesome Office Managers.
Wishing your crew a happy weekend.

I don’t know if I’d say awesome. Fun yes and unpredictable. Sometimes annoying!

Cute photos. My cat Mookie loved to sit on my desk right in front of the screen, so he could be the center of my attention.

Yes and you couldn’t get anything done! Gotta love cats!

Yep, Cats are the office managers. (Helps if there’s a nice window there…and the view/wind is nice) RC knows the routine and gets really miffed if the computer is turned on and people in their places on schedule …we sometimes regret she learned to talk over the past few years…she comes looking for us and lecturing.
Your cats seem to be thinking they need to help you hold down thoughts these days? They are always on top of things like that.

Yes. They also like to put their butt in my face. Or flounce their tail in my mouth.

Three out of five of my cats will visit on my desk. I love it.

I like it mostly. Not when I’m trying to type. Morgan just jumped up now. She was in a deep sleep on the top of the cat tree. I swear they hear me type!

Boss Cat only climbs on my desk for one reason: to let me know she’s hungry. She sits right in front of the monitor, pointedly. If there’s no food forthcoming, my fingers are fair game.

Yup. I have one of those too. If I take too long to respond, Theo starts tossing things off my desk.

Yes! This is why I drink out of unbreakable bottles!
If that doesn’t work, she goes after my fingers with claws. Then teeth.

We have the same cat! … no, wait, Theo’s a male 😉

She is definitely Boss Cat! My cats rarely wake me up in the morning although sometimes Gracie will knead my back. I wish she’d do it more often. One time I was not feeling well and slept past 7. When I got up around 8 all 4 cats were there staring at me. “Is she dead?” “Do you think she’s gonna get up?”

When Ted was little he liked to climb up on me and gain access to my computer desk…..then he’d go behind the computer and nap. Maybe the warmth was nice? Who knows. These days he doesn’t have any interest in my desk, the computer, or my lap. I think he knows he’d probably squish me if he jumped up on me at 25 lbs. LOL Love the photos of the kitties!
Hugs, Pam

That’s a lot of cat you got there. Gus at 13+ pounds is heavy and barely fits on my lap!

Hazel hit 18 lbs. and the vet went crazy. She was small structured and should have been a 9-10 lb. cat. We went on a very painful diet. It took a year but we got her down to 13-14 lbs. She looked so much better but she was also able to jump up on the counter and steal Morgan’s food so she had to keep her weight low enough that she could jump but still allow her the pleasure of eating. Don’t tell me cats aren’t smart.
