Sassy cats – Hello October!

Yes, I am magnificent. Wallow in my beauty!

Sasha the magnificent here! (The peep says I should say Sasha the barfer, but it’s been a good week!) Lots of healing going on. The male peep is back to normal (or as normal as he gets) and I stopped barfing. We don’t know what caused either illness but the peep is still using the V-E-T word for me. You know what that means. Hairball in her slippers. Snot on her pillow. The full workup. The portal to hell is not out so she hasn’t made an appointment yet. She hates going there as much as I do. They tell her scary things and relieve her pocketbook of a lot of money.

This is our neighbor Whiskers sunning himself!

The neighbor cats were visiting. Their peeps had work done on their patio, so they hung out here. It’s nice to have visitors. We hissed at each other with gossip on the ‘hood. We’re getting new neighbors. We’re hoping they don’t have dogs and the peep is hoping they play mahjong. Different strokes!

The peep is all weepy. She started to cut down the flowers on the deck. We won’t see them again until the beginning of May. It’s a sure sign of fall. All the better to see the birdies!

Have a great weekend with only happy fall stuff happening.

  1. Very good news about the Male Peep! Glad he is doing well. Whiskers is very handsome. You and Whiskers belong to the long haired club. Fingers crossed for no trips to the V-E-T. Be nice to the Lady Peep, she is suffering from the loss of the summer season. We can’t get rid of the summer season!

  2. Hey Sash, about Whiskers, is he a fella? I’ll just cut to the chase…if he is, he’s awfully cute. Maybe it’s time for a spa treatment…yanno…do your nails, gargle to get rid of unsightly hairballs. Plus think how happy it would make the Peep.

Glad Mr. Peep is on the mend. One more question…how does Gus get along with Whiskers? Are they pals or rivals. Just curious.

  3. Well I hope you and the peep don’t have to make a vet visit … fingers crossed for both of you. I remember Whiskers from before. That is a big cat, lots of fur like you Sasha! Glad to hear the male peep is feeling better. I know the feeling of not wanting any dogs next door. The neighbor next to me is home all the time now, but no longer has her Bijon Frise that suffered from separation anxiety for MANY years – it started howling and barking before she even drove away, on work days and weekends too. Now it is peaceful and quiet and I’ve been reading up a storm to bask in that quiet.

  4. So glad that the household health is on the mend and all are doing better. Don’t leave too many hairballs around, and snot of the pillows and such. You do not want to see the portal to hell appearing anytime soon!

  5. Well now Madam Magnificent – thanks for the update on the state of things in your family. When the portal to hell is still in the closet, you know you are safe for the time being. I’m so BIG my old portal was retired to the basement storage area – I have to live through being manhandled out to the car by my Dad. It’s that or a DOG portal to hell which Mom refuses to get. When we arrive at the vet the techs who adore me (can’t blame them) come out to get me (they’re young and have energy to burn) and carry me inside for my checkup. Anyway, that’s nice you have visiting cats from time to time around your house. Our neighborhood is full of dogs – if anyone has a cat they keep them inside I guess. Good luck with getting a new neighbor…….maybe THEY have a cat??!!

    Hugs, Teddy the Huge
