Sasha the magnificent here. Just a quick one today. The peep has a busy day. (No sense of priorities!) The pesky squirrel has been running across our window ledge again. The place where we nap. It makes us crazy. The fluffy beds go flying and the window has nose prints. I am convinced he is sticking his tongue out and going “na na na na na!” What a doofus. I don’t react as much as Gus does. If Gus had opposable thumbs and could open the window, that squirrel would be history!

You can see my cushion is hanging off the top. It’s supposed to butt up next to the other cushion. Gus did that when he charged the squirrel through the window.
All is good here. Weather was great. The peep had the sliding door open so we could smell the chipmunk poop and the birds. It was glorious.
Have a great weekend full of squirrels, chipmunk poop, bird smells and open doors (with screens of course!) Gotta go! Squirrel is at sliding door! If only I had those thumbs.

Squirrel and chipmunk TV, what a great life you have. Yes, the squirrel is totally teasing you.

Sasha – those pesky squirrels sometimes … yes, they’re cute as a bug’s ear (do people still say that)(???), but can be a nuisance. We had to stop feeding Sammy, our resident squirrel, as he kept trying to get into the house every time you opened the door – rude and no manners I tell you! Tell Gus to be careful he doesn’t knock you on the floor while chasing a squirrel.

The peep is afraid we are going to crack the window but it’s strong double pane so we are all good. I would certainly let that squirrel in!

The Peep just worries about y’all – that’s a good thing. 🙂 Yes, let that squirrel inside as he’ll fit right in as another furry friend in the house.

I can just see Gus sending all the cushions flying while trying to gain traction on the wood. Sasha, I hope he didn’t trample you or disturb you trying to get to the squirrel. Squirrels are naughty teasers! I am glad the Lady Peep opened the slider so you could sniff the outside smells. The Lady Peep is nice like that.

I have a picture I posted last year with Morgan, Gus and Sasha all on top of each other and a squirrel on the other side of the glass with his paws in his ears laughing!

Last year 2025… I am sure I saw it and can find it again. I found it… November 28, 2025?! The squirrel plastered to the window… The Sassy Cats riveted.

Wilson sends hopeful wishes that Gus gets that naughty squirrel. Or at least scares the dickens out of him. Have a super weekend.

Wilson would get rid of them for Gus and Sasha. They’d appreciate that.

Sasha ~ I’m sure the squirrels just want to be adopted so they get fed regular meals and don’t have to survive on blech-y acorns!

Mostly it’s black walnuts here. We’d invited them in for a nice game of chase.

Hello again beautiful Kitties! Don’t let those figgety squirels get the best of you. Stick out your tongue at them and say something bold in Kitty talk. That’ll teach ’em! Truth be told, I feed them unshelled peanuts every morning, and as a result, I admit I’m not much of an authority at dealing with pesky intruders! I welcome all who come to my deck, including stray kitties. LuvUGuys . . . .

The peep is like that too. She even fed field mice at our old house. Who does that?

Squirrels enjoy teasing…..They seem to know Teddy is too huge to chase them when we’re all outside in the yard together…….!
Hugs and Happy Friday……….Pam and Teddy

But does Teddy know that? Gus doesn’t understand that the glass window will prevent him from capturing that pesky squirrel!

Good point…..I’ve never told Ted that he’s huge and probably won’t…..he thinks he’s my baby. LOL

I had a bird feeder on the window for awhile, and only the squirrels ever found it. Made the cats crazy to have the squirrels calmly eating away right against the window pane, totally ignoring them. Fun for me to watch. Maybe not so fun for the cats!

I had one of those a long time ago. Hazel would sit inside and bat at the birds eating away.

The interesting part is this is a second story window. There is a tree nearby and the squirrel climbs the tree and then walks the outdoor window ledge. Very weird.

I believe squirrels are the original cirque du soleil performers. I’m always stunned by their acrobatic abilities. Second story is impressive.

They jump from window to window. Cirque du soleil is a very good description of their antics. The problem is everything goes flying when the cats try to get at them.
