Sassy cats – Scaring the peep!

Although magnificent, you can see my missing fur on my right side. It’s taking forever to grow back.

It’s me Sasha! I had a bad day this week. I didn’t feel good, so I hid. I didn’t wake the peep up or come out for breakfast. The peep tried to find me. I like to nap in a spot where I can’t be found. If the peep thinks I’m sick, she will drag me out, stuff me in the portal to hell and cart me off to the V-E-T. Nope wasn’t in the mood for that. She finally found me under a bed and let me be.

She checked on me every few hours which made me move to another bed or the basement. (The peep likes when I scare her!) She tried giving me my favorite food in the afternoon, but I wasn’t in the mood. Finally, just before dinnertime, I ate a few crumbs. Tasted pretty good. I decided to have some more. Gus’s food was out (but mine wasn’t cause I wasn’t eating) so I pushed him out of the way (gently of course) and helped myself. The peep gave me my dinner.

By 6 p.m. I was back to my normal self. I made biscuits in her lap, and we watched TV with the male peep. This morning around dark o’clock I hopped on the bed and snuggled with her. I put my butt in her face and dusted her face with my magnificent tail. (No matter what she says, she likes that!). Life is back to normal although the peep keeps hugging me. So insecure. She’s lucky she has me. Also, without me, Gus made her crazy. He was like Velcro.

She says there will be goldfish in her next life instead of cats. I seriously doubt that.

Reunited!

Peep’s note: Sasha wasn’t feeling well yesterday. She hid and didn’t eat or drink for 24 hours. About the time I was ready to freak out, she came around. We’ll never know what it was. Maybe a simple bellyache or maybe something else. Gus is happy, life is back to normal. He missed her (and drove me nuts!).

  1. I am glad you are feeling better, Sasha. Did you have a down day and decide to sleep it off? Not eating is worrisome for the Lady Peep when it comes to you and Gus. I think you all need a break from worrisome things. Enjoy your Sassy Cat Friday… I know I am enjoying it today knowing that you are feeling better and things are back to nomal!

  2. I hate it when that happens. Tre is a high energy dog, so if he’s not moving around much, something’s up. Which has happened a couple of times. The fretting over it literally makes my own body sick. So, I get it. Glad Sasha is feeling better. Enjoy the weekend.

  3. Oh Sash, did you really push Gus out of the way? Was that nice after he was so nice when you were under the weather. I hope you apologized. I know it’s hard to believe but men’s feelings get hurt same as ours. Glad you’re eating. My Italian granny always said, as long as you ate, nothing was too wrong. 🙂

  4. Sasha likes to keep you on your toes…..I think almost all cats have a touch of “Drama Queen (or King”) in them. Sasha has an excuse though since she’s had a medical issue. I love the photo of the snugglers – all is right in their world……now if we could just fix OUR world all of us would be happy!

    Hugs, Pam
