Here is a story from Morgan’s first Christmas in 2013!
We are in the middle of a snowstorm….again. The cats are off to their own business with some sleeping through it and Morgan (the youngest kitty) chatting with the birds.
I forgot what it’s like to have a young pet for the holidays.
Our holiday cards have bite marks on them.
There are ornaments UNDER the tree.
The tree occasionally shakes as if there was something inside it….hmmmm….
Here are some pictures to enjoy and feel free to suggest other captions.
Morgan: I’m still in training. Is this a place I can sit or maybe not. The human is making funny faces.
Editor’s note: Morgan passed in early January. I promised to post some stories from her early days here that make me smile. I hope they make you smile too!

So lovely to see the original gang. Bless.

So fun to see pictures of those who have come before, a little history of the kitties who’ve shared your space.

They are all gone. You don’t realize how time is flying in the moment. Gus will be here 6 years in August and Sasha 7 years. Where did the time go?

I just looked at my “our pets” photo folder. 11 who aren’t with us anymore, and there are a few more who came before I started taking lots of photos.

I know. I miss them all even though if they had not gone, there wouldn’t have been an opening for the next crew.

Such sweet “Morgan Flashbacks”……I love their innocent look when they’re TRYING to be just that – something I adore about young cats and dogs as well. They get away with so much because they’re so darn cute. Morgan was a beauty from the first……to the last. We miss her too…….
Love, Pam (and Teddy)

They all get away with a lot because of the cute factor, even as adults!

I forget how fun (and work) young pets are. She is the youngest we’ve had in decades. Most of the other adoptions were adults so no bite marks in holiday cards.

That young energy is what makes them so enduring.

I see that from early on that Morgan desired to be the centerpiece on the dining room table! And that “sinking” was another interest. I am loving the photos, of course😊 HAHAHA… Jake and a short Cupcake conversation. Thank you Kate, for this post and for sharing the Sassy Cats all these years. Morgan… the Perfect Cat🩶 Hugs to you, Lady Peep.

Seems like just yesterday and so long ago all at the same time.

I had to go back to reread the initial comments, written when all 4 kitties were alive and well and living with Kate. It was fun to see familiar faces in the comments ~ like Jill W.
Do you still keep a basket of books handy for guests?
RIP Jake, Mollie, Hazel, and Morgan. (And Grace too).

The basket of books were donated when we downsized. Now we stay with Kindle versions. I miss my old blogging buddies but people move on.

That’s the laundry room sink. I don’t know how she found it but it became one of her favorite spots for a while.

Thanks. She was quite a character when she was young. We hadn’t had a young cat in the house for a while and it brought a lot of energy (and some level of annoyance) into the house.

I am still shaking sleep out of myself but I smiled again..really big as we say around here, at the “some annoyance”. Yes indeedy. Understood that very well.
