Sasha the magnificent here. Morgan was at the vet this morning. The portal to hell was out all week so we got used to it and forgot that someone was going to the underworld known as “the vet.”
After a nice breakfast Morgan was snagged and put in the portal. The rest of us scattered as if a major hurricane hit the hallway. There would have been no hope of catching us. The peep always says if there is a fire, it’s every cat for themselves! (She tried to have a fire drill. That was a massive failure!)
According to the peep, Morgan didn’t utter a word, meow, whine or “wassup wit dis!” all the way over and all the way back (and they stopped at Starbucks too!). I must have a talk with her. She gives us all a bad name. The peep says I’m the worst but that’s really a compliment. She loves my version of Carmen although she enjoyed AC/DC with Gracie too.
Morgan was making weird swallowing noises. That’s what started this adventure. The vet says Morgan’s throat is red and she has a slight fever. She is treating her for a sore throat. There were no visible signs of a tumor or lump which was the worry.
She had bloodwork and an antibiotic shot. She’s favoring the leg that got the shot, but I taught her how to do drama. Dang cat is finally learning. The leg drag scored her some treats and she didn’t share.
Morgan is doing her pre-nap bath, and we won’t see her until dinnertime! The peep looked at the bill and said it was twice as much as her first mortgage. (What’s a mortgage?) She got a senior discount which covered her (very necessary) mocha latte.
Anyhow, peace (as much as you can have with three cats) is again reigning in our home. Send some good thoughts to Morgan. The peep says these trips are harder for her than for us. Nope, not believing it.

Hope that Morgan is OK! Glad she is using those drama lessons Sasha has been giving her 🙂

I went ahead and scheduled a consult with a specialist for her. The soonest was February so if it clears up (unlikely) I can cancel.

Wow – that is a while to wait!

The only option is to take her in on an emergency basis which is always more expensive but I’ll do that if she deteriorates. She’s stable right now so fingers crossed.

She doesn’t appear to feel bad but keeps doing this grunt thing sticking her neck out. Has me worried that it’s more than a sore throat.

Morgan: I am an adorable cat. I am hoping it’s a simple sore throat (don’t wanna go back) but dracula tech took some of my blood!

oh, that is awful. You need to ask for more treats.

Thanks for the update on your stellar sister Sasha. Whew – glad it was just a sore throat and will Morgan be getting a little honey with her treats to soothe her throat? I hope the antibiotics help and thankfully it was not a tumor. Be nice to her while she recuperates.

Be nice? I’m always nice. I clean her plate if she leaves crumbs. Can’t get any nicer than that.

Wow, Morgan got all the way to the vets and back without even a single aria. She must have had quite a soar throat. I hope she feels better soon (I guess gargling with warm salt water is a no-go 🙃).

Morgan rarely, if ever, sings the song of her people in the car. When she broke her leg a few years back, she had to have the split rewrapped every week. I swear she enjoyed the attention and looked forward to it. The techs loved her and showered her with affection.

Wheels up! I always love seeing this photo of Morgan. I hope Morgan has gotten in some good naps and is feeling better by now. Sasha, you have done a good update for us! I feel sure the trip to the vets is hard on the Lady Peep. She needs to recuperate too.

The lady peep slept all afternoon! I was worried that dinner would be late but she’s up now. Morgan is still napping.

Oh my..poor Morgan. Sasha, tell your Peep spoonfuls of lemon and honey, an old Italian remedy, might do the trick. Maybe you or Gus can hold Morgan’s paw, for support. Call me if you need anything. Gis has my number.

Fun cat adventures. How did Morgan lose her eye? You probably posted about it before I became active on here. I love blue kitties.

I don’t know. I adopted her with only one eye. Story is that she was picked up off the streets with a severe eye infection that the rescue couldn’t fix. When I got her medical records I found that they hadn’t given her eye drops on schedule and many doses were missed. In any case, she doesn’t know she only has one eye. You can blindside her by coming up on her eyeless side but other than that she’s good. She was a great hunter in her day. She’s 13 now so lets most of the mouse hunting to the younger kids.

She is a happy cat. I call her the perfect cat. She doesn’t whine, yell or talk back. To signal she’s hungry, she sits by her dish and waits. No yeowling like the other two!
