It’s the peep today. Sasha was not supposed to be a lap cat but this house turns everyone into a lap cat. We had a snuggle session this week and she let me take pictures. She doesn’t always. Sometimes she doesn’t think her fur is right or she’s not at her best. This week she was perfect.
We had our first frost last night. Birdbath was frozen and annuals are dead. It’s officially fall! The cats are waiting for the fireplace to go on!
We all wish you a scritchy weekend filled with fun!

You’re lucky!
If our ‘Mrs Kittow’ lies in her doughnut with a “I’d-love-a-scritch” look on her face, and I try to give her the scritch, my arm is in tatters within seconds, blood everywhere, and Mrs K lies down again with a smug “only-when-I-give-you-the-green-light” smirk on her face.
Cats rule!

I had a cat like that a while back. She would sleep on your chest but you could not touch her. I still have scars.

So photogenic. Looking forward to photos of her in front of the fire.

She goes into ecstasy when she’s petted and it’s hard to capture. I need an extra hand!

Aw, such a sweetheart! It’s so wonderful when they are good. We were gone this week and came back to the petsitter cleaning up pee spots!

Oh no! I hope it’s not a health issue!

Well, the two cats I got from my son are pee-ers and when something triggers them it’s a lot of work to get them to stop again. But now I think my dear love Perry is peeing when we leave out of unhappiness at Mom and Dad being gone.

I’m so sorry. That is one habit that is a lot of work.

And then Perry’s chronic diarrhea. I’m so sick of the smell just the thought makes me gag.

Lovely shoot! Here the temps are in the 70s by day and 50’s by night. It’s too warm at night for heat (the cats disagree) but a bit cool to leave the windows up.

We were like that about a week or two ago but it’s definitely fall now.

What a cutie pie!! I love fall! Enjoy.

She is the most expressive but it’s hard to capture! Cats get weird when they see a camera.

I know right? Like, how can they tell when you are about to take a picture?

They know!

These are great pictures of Sasha – the lighting is very soft here too. Two counties in Michigan did not have a frost warning; no frost in Wayne County, so no frost for me, but it was pretty chilly this morning – in the space of a few days I went from short sleeves to hoodie to coat! (I was tempted to get the gloves as it was 49 when I left on my walk this morning.

Our weather is now doing the fall bounce. Warm one day, cool the next, then downright cold!

Yes, the weather transitioned way too fast … I’m just a malcontent I guess. 🙂

She is. She’s a good cat too but I won’t tell her that.

Her little pink lips♥ Very sweet close-ups. I am loving that every Sassy Cat turns into a lap cat. Life is good as a Sassy Cat.

It’s a very good gig here. Since we are retired there is always someone home to pester.

Sasha is so sweet. Love the pics of her snuggly self. First frost, eh? Whoa…we’re still in the low 40’s at night. I love wear a light jacket for our early morning walks and crunching leaves on the sidewalks. Now that’s autumn (even if the leaves haven’t changed colors much).

You have to respect a girl who worries how she looks in front of the camera. Her reputation is at stake after all.
I’m waiting for the fireplace to go on too. It’s FREEZING here in the Big Apple.

Yes it is. We’ve had such warm weather. Had plans for a luncheon on a restaurant patio. That changed to indoors. Cool today.

Well how cozy that your house turns cats into snuggle-bunnies! Sasha looks like she’s liking it. Fall is snuggle weather so she has become a snuggler! Nice…..Teddy gets a little more interested in heating vents in the Fall.
Hugs, Pam

Gracie was my heating vent cat. If she wasn’t on the heating pad in the basket, she was on the heat vents or maybe a sunspot. Whatever was warmest.

Are you putting the fire on soon? Or are you doing the whole “Stay strong till November” thing (in which Cat Daddy is a believer)?

We are not stay strong people. We fold as soon as the weather cools off.

Cute photos! If anyone could turn Sasha into a lap cat it is you. We got out the self-warming mats for the cats, and even Ace today. I just hope fall hangs on for a good while before we have winter.

Me too. I was thinking of getting out the heating pad for the basket but that may be a little early. I would do it for Gracie because she was older and liked the heat but the rest are good for a few more weeks (or a big drop in temps).

Gilda is our senior cat, and her heated bed is plugged in and ready for the cold. She loves it.

She was an interesting foster, and found herself the perfect home.

She sure did…Sasha really landed on her paws, with your help and care. Going to Kate’s must be like winning the Derby for any kitty. 🙂
