Peep here. After having houseguests last week, Sasha decided she needs an emotional support animal. Something to comfort or distract her during trying times. Something to swat or maybe squash depending on her mood. It’s a tough position to fill. It’s like a Navy Seal when you don’t know for sure if you’ll live through your assignment.
Interviews started this week. She has been interviewing earwigs. I have seen evidence of a few leaving the premises after an interview gone badly. One required a burial. Sasha has strict standards on what she needs. Gus thinks he’s enough but we’ll see. I can hardly wait to see what she will interview next week. Anyone interviewing should request combat pay. Send resumes.
Here is something to make you cat (or any kind of pet) folks giggle.
We all wish you a great weekend!

Bwahahahaha! Love the joke. Too funny. We have a rule at the Ranch, no pet toys. Wilson’s big on rolling rolly poly bugs with his ginormous nose. They. are. not. amused.

Yes, I would not be amused either! π

LOL! That’s right! Well, hopefully Sasha gets all the emotional support she needs and not too many applicants need burials π

Yes, there is no subtraction for pets, only addition and multiplication.

Poor Sasha. I hope she finds the right one to employ. Cute math problem. Have a nice weekend.

Cute math question! I hope Sasha finishes interviewing soon and doesn’t surprise you with anything else. Have a good weekend.

Thanks. We are hoping for something inanimate for her.

Well, I suppose thinking of them as interviewees is better than thinking of them as prey. The unsuccessful ones should be thankful they didn’t get the job. I’ve been to interviews like this, especially the one with the IRS.

Yes – there’s a certain status to that as well!

I had to look up earwigs! I am surprised I have never seen one here in the buggiest state. I hope Sasha finds a suitable support animal and that we get treated to a blog post about it. Would she consider a stuffie as an emotional support animal? Sure hope it isn’t an ant!

Morgan has a blankie and Gus has two stuffies but Sasha has never attached herself to anything (except Gus). Maybe she likes them live!

I never thought about what a cat would need for a support animal. For some people a cat qualifies as a support animal. I like your math – that would be my daughter.

The math makes perfect sense to me.

I thought Gus and Sasha were each otherβs emotional support animals?

When we get houseguests, Gus likes to be out and about. Sasha wants someone under the bed comforting her.

Maybe the answer is β¦ another cat! A KITTEN! What could possibly go wrong? π€£π€£π€£

I’d love to have a 4th again but there comes a time when you have to downsize. She will have find a suitable object that doesn’t require feeding to comfort her.

This so made me laugh. I saw her with a clipboard asking about their previous employment. Very funny Kate. π

Oh yes, experience required. I felt badly for some of the rejected earwigs. She is a tough boss!

Today we are cold. It’s 1:15 pm and it’s 67 degrees. Two days ago it was 98. No A/C running today here.

What I wouldn’t give for 67 degrees!

It’s not that I don’t like 67 but the yo-yo weather is wreaking havoc on my body. Today I can’t get warm. Two days ago I couldn’t cool off.

I remember yo-yo weather. Missouri is famous for yo-yo weather. It just doesn’t go on as long as your yo-yo weather I don’t think.

we were cold yesterday so I turned it off, now it’s hot again. Another tech guy was here at 9am and had it fixed in an hour – you just have to get the right one!

It was a quick fix – just a bit of broken drainage tubing, the key was getting the right subcontractor, as apparently the guys on my Reliance maintenance contract can’t climb above 4 feet according to their union rules?!

A long time ago my indoor-outdoor cat Jake brought in a party of fleas. Yikes! That took work to get rid of them all. They were doing the congo on the floor.

Saw your title of position open, and my first thought was oh no!! Did someone die? But then I realized that you wouldn’t be cavalier about that, so started breathing again. I’m glad Sasha is working on providing for her emotional support needs. Hopefully the right candidate appears soon.

No one is at death’s door (yay for that!). I am not sure why we are having so many earwigs in the house all of a sudden but I’m pretty sure Sasha has been advertising in the bug newspaper.
