Sasha, queen of the universe, here. The peep was all weird this week. She called us needy! Us! Needy!
Every time she sat down there was a cat in her lap, sometimes two duking it out for prime real estate. What’s the big deal? It’s an honor to have one of the royal rumps rest on her ample lap. (She doesn’t like it when I call it ample but hey, not my problem!)
The weather was weird too. It was cold, then it was hot – super hot. The peep was working outside and thought she had heat stroke. She slithered in the house and tried to put her head in her (ample) lap so she wouldn’t pass out while three cats hovered around. Mostly we were worried it would affect her opposable thumbs and delay dinner.
We tried to explain the benefit of purrs, but she said we were making her hotter. Eventually I stepped on all her organs; we all took a nap; and life was good again. I may have missed her liver. I’ll have to be more careful next time.
That’s the news for this week! Sasha here over and out.

Thanks for sharing this update Sasha! I hope the peep recovered OK?

Her thumbs are working and that’s what counts!

This is SO funny! I can just picture the cats saying it…. LOVE IT!

Yes it’s exactly what they would say.

That was hilarious! “opposable thumbs” “I may have missed her liver” you do have a way with words Sasha!

Kate, may I reblog that post, next week?? It deserves to be shared. I didn’t have time to write anything this week and next week is looking busy too. I’ll just do a short post about how I missed reading my regular WP readers. I found a new blogger, well he found me, who posted about his dog waking him up, which had me in stiches. It’s been a week when I needed a bit of humor!

We’re coming off a two-day, hotter-than-blazes heat wave too. Today, I had the furnace on briefly as it was cold and damp from all the rain. Ugh-ly weather for sure. Isn’t all that fur hot Sasha?
LikeLiked by 1 person
No, the fur insulates me from both heat and cold. My summer fur is silk and thinner than my winter fur so I’m comfy. Besides I live in AC!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Well, I didn’t know that Sasha – I have never had a cat. You are like a squirrel with their heavy coat in Winter … of course squirrels also get an extra layer of fat and I know you don’t get that! I did forget about the AC – these days we all need it!

I’m comfy inside my house. Just need more nip.

Nip is always good to get through the day – pester the peep for it!

You don’t sound needy. You sound like loving, helpful kitties. 🙂 XO

The heat can really get you when it comes in so quickly. Cute photos.

It gets to you faster as you age too.

Heavens forbid the human can’t get us our food! 😂 She is to be protected at all costs 😉. Yeah, I get that same feeling here at times although more related to walkies and play time than food!

Walkies? What’s that? We don’t get walkies.

You’d better watch it, Sasha, or you will be in the dog house!

Fortunately we don’t have a dog house! 🙂

Not even a figurative dog house??? I guess not.

Cold shower! I know the cats were too hot at that moment. On another note, I’ve heard that the vibration from a cat’s purr helps the frequency in the body and can be healing.
I am not a hot weather person. Hope you’re nice and cooled down now. Have a nice weekend.

Right? That’s why I never really adjusted. Heat 6 to 8 months with no break. 🥵

Lovely butts indeed, Sasha! Tell the Peep to be careful out there. A royal post – thanks for keeping us informed. The Peep doesn’t tell us everything.

Lovely post Sasha. One thing for having an ‘ample lap’ is room for everybody thereon.

Sasha, this is a most excellent edition today presented by you! Hope the Lady Peep has recovered well from her brush with heat stroke. Nothing to mess around with… tell her hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!!! Did she have a big hat on? SSNS got heat stroke and it wasn’t a good thing at all.
I have to say those truly are lovely Sassy Cat butts… shiny, healthy coats.
Over and out!

We do have lovely butts! She wasn’t out long so no hat and no glass of water! Dumb peep!

We’ve heard about hot humid weather on the East Coast this week while it’s been fairly crisp in the mornings (48F one morning). Wilson and I both were in paradise. Afternoon windy conditions and then showers. It’s been so un-normal for Denver but I’m not complaining about the moisture. Only the weeds that grow truly overnight. Hopefully your squashed liver recovers enough to have a great weekend.

That was part of the problem. Our mornings were upper 40s to low 50s, then it was high 80s with humidity. No string of pleasant 70 degree days to transition.

I’m so grateful humidity is a rarity around here. Wilson and I consider humidity no bueno! Have a great weekend.

It’s crazy how peeps get all hot despite having no fur. Hope peep is feeling well enough to withstand a liver assault soon.

The heat came without warming. Peeps would do better with fur, feathers or scales. That naked thing doesn’t work well.

Oh, Sasha! You are a great reporter! Be kind to your peep, the weather was definitely crazy this week! You don’t have to worry about the weather. You cats have it good! 😊

Kate ~ Make sure you’re staying hydrated in the heat. And take A/C breaks if you notice you are “overheating.” Cold compresses around the neck and wrists can help cool you down fast.

It’s the first time I had such a reaction. Getting old. I’m sure I was dehydrated. Fortunately I made it into the house.

It’s been quite warm here, too. I will have to start getting up early so I can get my walk done before it’s too hot. Bummer.

For us it went from cold to hot in a day or two. My body isn’t used to it. I will have to do outside stuff early in the morning too.

You know Sasha, you better than anyone should know we women have issues. Even you’re needy from time to time. And you and I both know, before she took her last breath, the three of you would be fed. And tell your brother Gus, I could use a call. Men, they’re so self-absorbed.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Do you think the peep had the vapors? Gus! Sigh! He’s a playa!

I cannot fathom two cats on one lap, not just because I only have one but because most cats are 89 times the size of Catorze, so how do they fit?
LikeLiked by 1 person
They don’t. Sometimes there is a brawl and sometimes on is on the side with only a head on my body.
LikeLiked by 1 person
Catorze barely takes up any space, as you can imagine! I could fit three of him on my lap.

I can send you some cats to take up the extra space!

Those certainly are great lookin’ butts. I find that organ smashing is an excellent way to get attention but doesn’t seem to work for extra treats for some reason. I am not a lap cat – Mom says she’d need three extra laps if I was one. I think that’s an insult.
Hugs, Teddy

Clearly you need more laps available in your home! Is it only your lap or does Beloved Husband help? Be careful in the heat…gonna be a long summer.

Sasha will rarely climb into Dan’s lap and it’s not for long. The other two only seek out my lap. Yesterday was a surprise. I’ve never gotten sick from the heat and I wasn’t out long. Aging sucks.
