The weather is changing and it’s light longer (and sunnier too!). The cats are still working out ownership of the different beds (there are a lot of them here — beds, not cats!). Here is Sasha trying to cozy up to Morgan to share the office bed but Morgan wasn’t having any of it!
After that didn’t work, Sasha went looking for Gus. She found him in the family room basket bed. Those discussions didn’t pan out either.
Finally she ended up on the heated pad. Not a bad choice but no cuddle buddy.
But that was yesterday. This is today.
Still sleeping alone. I’m not sure which is the prime real estate here (after the window bed of course), the basket or the heated pad.
Our gang hopes you find your favorite spot to hang out and enjoy the weekend.

Who needs a bed buddy when you have an electric heated pad?

Yes! Today it’s sunny but way too windy! March is fickle.

Happy Kitties!
We are going to hang out at Dudley Farm State Park for Plow Days ~ picnic weather, antique tractors, our great nephew (and his parents), and a bunch of musicians with banjos, guitars, and dulcimers!

Aw – poor Sasha! Though it looks like there are plenty of place to snuggle in. I hope the lovebugs aren’t breaking up?

They snuggle but they rarely sleep together. Sometimes if they are on the bed they may be next to each other but not touching. I think Sasha gets hot. She will be on the heating pad for a while and then she lies on the cold granite in front of the fireplace.

She is a pretty furry gal – that makes sense!

It’s like musical chairs only the bed version at your house. I really like the picture of Gus with his ears looking so pink in the ray of sunlight. I would say this post shows much-loved cats and the picture of contentment.

They are content…usually…mostly…except when they think the peep didn’t give them enough treats which is every day!

It is hard to please everyone all of the time as someone always has a gripe (as you well know from your HR career). š

No pity for Sasha. She can be a pushy cat if she wants something bad enough.

Thanks. I had easy models for the most part. I do have quite a few blurry butts but that’s typical!

The whole bed/basket thing is pretty dang funny! It’s maybe going to take some wily strategic planning and moves for their fav bed. The Sassy Cats are going to be kept busy! Great pictures for this Sassy Cat Friday!

I’m so grateful they get along…most of the time…and even when they don’t, it’s just a little hissy fit.

Ted ignores the MANY beds I have around the house for him……with the exception of the guest room bed (although that’s not there for HIM!). He likes weird spots like behind chairs or under tables or in the basement on the garden plant potting table. He also really likes napping outside….catching Zs on that old loveseat on the porch – in the dirt behind the azaleas – under a prickly-leaved holly tree. You have so many really COMFY spots for your gang and it looks like they happily play “musical beds” with each other and that’s so sweet!!

My old cat Jake was like that. He was my last indoor-outdoor cat. He loved to sleep on the dirt under a bush. Maybe it was cool. Morgan likes the odd spots too under a coffee table or in a corner (one of her favs). Sasha is an under the bed cat. Sometimes I wonder why I even have beds.

I find that when my cats want a solid nap, without interruptions, they head for the center of the featherbed. By themselves.

I love all the beds you have for them, like a good hotel for cats. Your love for them bursts through the screen. š

Yes, we have a lot of beds. Some I’ve given away. Mollie (RIP) loved yurts, little enclosed beds. Gus like them too be he didn’t fit. Nobody except Gracie fit and she didn’t like them. I need a notebook to track everyone’s preferences!

Yes it is musical beds. No one is using the one they all fought for last week. Sigh!

I bet as the days get warmer and lighter there will be lots checking for the best real estate. An ever evolving situation.

Yes, the heating pad has an expiration day depending on warm weather. Today no one is in the office window bed. They are cats. Unpredictable most of the time. I think Morgan is in the bedroom bed curled up for her post breakfast nap.

Heating pads and the radiators here have expiration dates too, though not quite yet! Maybe by April. The cats will miss then!
