By the end of Easter day, this was how my lovely table looked. I’m not sure how it happened but here is a clue.
The green “grass” was distributed around the room and those eggs in the basket were found around the house. We assume they had their own Easter egg hunt. I’m just glad they waited until the guests left!
Everything is washed and put away until next year! Morgan hopes you had a great holiday.
Gives a whole new look to “who is the Easter bunny!” Too cute!

So cute! Which doesn’t make sense at all, but we love naughty cats.

Hahaha! Indeed they did have an egg hunt! Never a dull holiday or day, with kitties. My daughter gave me a fridge magnet, “the cat and its housekeeping staff live here.” It’s the only magnet the kitties haven’t removed from the fridge, lol.

I only have paw prints (magnetic not real) on the refrigerator and no one bothers them except my granddaughter who puts them in perfect order whenever she is here.

I too love that second photo. It’s like she’s guarding the treasure – you know, just in case.
If you’re going to be foolish enough to change something, then you have to expect that it will be tampered with 😆

Exactly. Yesterday I caught Theo on the dining room table – chewing on my roses.

Did you see any other the cats batting the eggs around? 😀

I’m sure at least Gracie was. How could she not. It moves! Hazel probably smelled them to make sure they were food. Mollie said, “whatev”

I’d forgotten about cats + that green grass stuff. Not a good mix, as I recall. I like the look on your cat master’s face as she sits on the dining room table.

That’s precisely what that expression says. Love it.

Hahaha… I am getting a kick out of the fact that they had their own Easter egg hunt!

It’s just like a real egg hunt. I’m still finding those eggs and bits of fake grass.

They’d get on well with our cats! Small objects tend to get moved in our house. They can often be found under or behind the sofa. There’s usually a nice little stash of pens and lip balm there!

There is always a large collection of catnip mice under the refrigerator. They consider themselves “decorators.”

Be careful with Easter grass, cats can get blockages from it.

It’s paper, not cellophane but still. I don’t have young cats so I was a little surprised that it interested them. The eggs I get — round and rolls easily but the grass? Fortunately only Morgan thought the grass was cool.

Anyone can put a centerpiece right in the middle of a tablecloth. It takes a true designer to add some flair and interest with asymmetrical placement. And the eggs on the floor? Pure genius!

Morgan was probably just using the tablecloth as a bib.

Always nice when cats celebrate (and decorate) on their own. Unless the decorating is done by my cats — they think that vases of lilies look best on the floor.

Ack vases! Morgan throws them off of anything — shelves, tables, fireplace.

Yes, you could have done a wordless Friday, but I’m glad you didn’t. I should have added before that I was happy to read what you wrote.

But wordless would have let you interpret as you wish!

It was better to know how things ended — that the cats behaved and didn’t mess up things until after the guests left.

Cats are so helpful. But no one ever posts about the very helpful features on instagram. I don’t know why.

Morgan and my Miss Poppy seemed to be of the same thought, that THEY should have been the table ornaments this Easter – good thing they’re cute!

Yes! All of my cats believe they make far superior table centerpieces than anything I can do.

Mine would have just jumped right up there during dinner!

Fortunately mine won’t do that. Two are too shy and the other two will stay on the floor. None of them eat people food so that wouldn’t entice them.

I should have had that playing in the background! My husband found the eggs all over the house. Fortunately he didn’t step on them and they were plastic.
