Sassy cats — Cranky pants

Sasha the magnificent here. Quiet week here. I had a great morning. I tossed a hairball along with my breakfast! Two spots on the hardest to clean carpet. Score! The peep was crawling around cleaning it up saying works we don’t ever hear. She also talked about trading us in for goldfish. Like that’s gonna happen!

The squirrel has been “visiting” Gus regularly this week which means all the window cushions are in a pile on the floor every day! That didn’t make the peep happy either but the squirrel and Gus were having a good time.

And then he’s gone!

She looks funny too. She went to her skin doc and he put red spots on her face. They look like laser dots. Morgan would have loved them. She loved the lasers.

The weather was perfect this week. The back door was open with the screen so we got to smell all the wonderful things outside, like decaying bird feathers and chipmunk poop. It was glorious. Life doesn’t get much better except maybe for some treats. The peep is stingy with those.

Have a great weekend filled with squirrel friends, chipmunk poop and those wonderful tuna treats! Or whatever it is that makes you happy!

Gus and I have our afternoon booked!

  1. Love the last pic of the kitties on their cushions. Mr Squirrel is a tease.
Hope your ‘laser dots’ aren’t too uncomfortable.
Hot here again today and we now have a new dawn chorus which is NOT the shih tzus next door…… robins and blackbirds. I can live with that and methinks there are nests nearby so looking out for babies. The starlings are here in droves, yet according to the experts, numbers are in decline. Obviously they are looking in the wrong place. Come and count here………….. I’ll make tea!

    • Better birds than dogs barking. We have a barker in back of us. He barks at anything including the wind. He’s some sort of “poo” (poodle mix) and on the small size. Really cute but loud.

  2. I am assuming the cranky pants is The Lady Peep? I don’t know why but I was thinking it was going to you, Sasha. Derma appointments must have been the thing to do this week. I went Wednesday and I was all clear! It was a nice change after two pre, one squamous, and two basal cell for 2025 and 2026. It is true what they say about the sun. I think you and Gus are going to have a very nice Friday. Hope your weekend is filled with squirrel shenanigans, aroma of chippie poop and tuna treats. I am sure the Lady Peep will deliver on the treats!

  3. I should take a hint from your post, yours and Sasha’s. You’ve cheered everyone up while I depressed them. I see two followers of mine that didn’t comment. Better get out that sense of humor of mine so not to lose the few followers that I have.

You on the other hand is a blogging star. Love the pictures as always. :)

  4. We were happy to get a bit of rain – AND today it’s cooler as well so at last I can talk about something other than brown grass and sweat……! I rarely make a trip to the skin doc without coming home with red spots – I call them “beauty spots” BUT they just mean my doc doesn’t take any chances with a repeat of my many melanoma experiences. Enjoy these nice days of weather because we all know – IT NEVER LASTS! LOL

    Hugs, Pam

  5. What a great ledge for the kitties to nap on. Perfect spot! A few more days of gorgeous weather on tap still. It was around 50 degrees here this morning…not complaining!
