Sasha the magnificent here. We’ve finally had some decent weather. The peep opened the cat room window. She made a comfy ledge and of course we didn’t use it at all. When we want to sit on the windowsill the weather doesn’t cooperate. Maybe the feng shui in the room isn’t right. The peep thinks there are too many comfortable spots and thick cushions. We think there is not enough catnip. We have a picture of Gus and me at another time sharing the open window.
We are including a picture of my banana. I use it as a pillow (but she can’t get a picture of me sleeping on it!). Or a kick toy. It’s my friend. She says it looks like a real banana with dark spots where I drool and slobber. I don’t drool and slobber…unless necessary. It was a present from Auntie Anya. She knows a good catnip pillow when she sees it.
Here is one of the peeps favorite sunshine songs! That is your favorite sunshine song? Have a great weekend!

Boy does that loved slobber covered banner sure bring back memories.

Yesterday was wonderful. Today is cooler and windy so the window will be closed. 😦

Shoot…wind is such a killjoy to enjoying an open window.

Let the sunshine beautiful weather in this weekend. Something tells me you are going to enjoy that oen window before it’s over.
In defense of your Peep, that banana looks very real.

Lying on a sunny windowsill is one of life’s little pleasures. Catnip banana pillows are another.

That’s one of my favorite songs too Sasha – it’s a feel-good song. We are having a nice run of weather as well, maybe 10 days in a row of good sunny, warm and not too hot weather. That does look like a real banana … drooling will do that every time. 🙂

Things are getting windy here. Peep says no open window today. Boogers.

Tell the Peep you have long hair and need the wind to cool you off sometimes. 🙂 Yesterday I was on an asphalt trail and saw a woman pushing a pink stroller. It had a white Persian cat inside – I’m thinking with all the hair it must have been very hot. Does the Peep ever take you on walks with her?

No walkies. I would get too scared. The hair is very insulating both from the hot and the cold so unless the temperatures are extremely hot with high humidity, it should have been ok.

Well I don’t blame you for that Sasha – lots of people out there might snatch you right out of the stroller since you are so pretty. I keep forgetting about the fact that the fur insulates you – next week we are having hot weather here – ugh.

My husband eats a banana for breakfast every morning. I wonder if he’d enjoy it even more if I sprinkled catnip on it. Maybe I should surprise him!

That song by the Beatles is a favorite sun song of mine too. Maybe The Best! Great video! It takes me back. I do also like Bill Withers singing Ain’t No Sunshine. I like that you shared a song today. It could be fun if you shared a favorite song here and there, Kate. Your song this morning got me smiling. Open windows, fresh air… can’t hardly beat that… except for a catnap banana/ pillow, Sasha! And Gus!!!

Sunshine inspires me. I always wake up with a song on my head (and no idea how it got there). I listened to Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love on the way for coffee but this post needed a sunshine song.

Thank you, Kate. I must confess that I am both energized and encouraged after reading your blogs and visiting, though vicariously, with your delightful Kitties. You truly make my day . . . . . ! By comparison, look at my (new) blog at http://www.ww1fragments.blogspot.com and by comparison, you’ll see what a what an amateurish effort my blog is when compared to yours.

Your blog is interesting and I look forward to reading it but it’s on blogspot. For some reason, blogspot won’t let me comment. Ever. One anyone’s post. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

That’s very interesting and thank you for pointing that out. I will certainly investigate that. However, it is probably the result of me having not clue what I’m doing on blogger! Thanks again and have a great day!

That version of the song by the Beatles is my favorite too and it NEVER FAILS to make me smile when I hear it. Sasha’s banana pillow really does look like an overripe “nanner”…….slobber gives it that touch of authenticity. Love the photo of Gus providing his leg for Sasha as a “rear bumper”. Now that’s love!! Happy GOOD WEATHER – we’re having some too!
Hugs, Pam

The nanner was in a pack of three stuffies but the nanner is the only one she took to. Cats! The song was a tough decision. I love John Denver’s Sunshine on my Shoulder and Islands in the Sun. Maybe most all sunshine songs!
