Sasha here. The peeps have been prepping for a big storm. It may be snowmageddon. Or not. Predictions are 10 to 14 inches of snow. That’s taller than me. The peeps are old people so they don’t like big snows because it’s hard to clear out. I hope they checked the cat food supply. The catnip too! We may need to be medicated. Just a little. Stay safe wherever you are. If you are someplace warm, send for me.
Have a great weekend and stay safe!

You are so funny Sasha! I would send for you if I could, but I’m north and it’s even worse here, unless you like to ski.

Our peeps are too. There are some local outdoor cats. They have heated huts but it’s still a hard time for them.

We never have storms severe enough for us to check supplies. But, if we did, we would check the cat food and cat meds first!

Yes cat food, catnip and cushy beds. We may hibernate through it.

“Buckle up buttercup” it’s gonna be a rough ride…….we’re expecting sizeable snow and ice and may be stuck here in our house for who knows how long. Teddy is looking at me like “Mom? Are you sure I have enough treats to last through this emergency?????”. Stay safe….stay cozy and hopefully all of us who are experiencing this don’t lose power so we can still communicate!
Hugs, Pam (and Teddy who has plenty of padding to keep warm)

We cats worry that the squirrel won’t visit. The peeps have put food out for birds, squirrels, anything that wants to nosh. Is it spring yet?

Sasha – I’m sure the Peeps took care of you and Gus before they bought their own food supplies. Catnip too! Snow is okay if it falls gently on Christmas Eve and can be swept away Christmas Day – the rest of the time, it’s a pain, especially if it comes with ice too. I hope you all stay safe!

We are thinking of you too. It must be cold and snowy in Michigan. Hope you are ok.

Thank you Sasha – I am hunkering down indoors after a morning temp of -9 temps and -18 real feel. They have upped our snowfall totals from 2-4 inches to 4-6 inches as the storm will now hit the Southern counties where I live with more snow. At least it is soft and fluffy snow because it is so cold … I’m trying to find a silver lining in all this. I hope you all stay safe with no calamities from this storm.

You are lucky. We are predicted to get 10 to 14 inches with maybe sleet or not sleet. The sleet line is near us. I can’t find a silver lining except for the ski resorts.

I hope you did not get what was expected – you don’t want any ice accretion. That’s a big snowfall for your state. We ended up getting almost 7 inches of snow and it came in the early morning and drifted as it was so windy – ugh. I had to finally get out the tall boots to shovel and we had more snow this afternoon. Yes, we had people whining all the time the past few years about no snow to ski … so they can go up north where they have tons of snow, but that’s not the case last year or this year.

I’m in the somewhere between 1 inch and two feet range, depending on who you ask. I’m ready and as prepared as one can be for whatever comes.

The only thing we have to do is get out all the stuff for a power outage — flashlights, storage banks for the phones, the sort of thing. It’s hard to look for flashlights in the dark! 🙂

Giggles!!! That’s like needing to have your glasses to find your glasses!!
I try to keep small flashlights in lots of strategic places.

We have the batteries out too because no matter how often we check the flashlights, they are dead when we need them.

I’m in the 8-12 inch range and bitter cold. Not looking forward to it!

Wow, that’s a lot of snow. We’re getting snow tonight and tomorrow, but not that much. Stay safe and warm. Flannel sheets and the fireplace sound like a good idea.

We are expected to get a major snowstorm. Hopefully we won’t get the sleet that place farther south will get.

Not looking forward to the next week or so. But making little woo hoo sounds that one of my pet sitting clients who lives up in the hills decided to cancel their trip and rebook in May. The wife is always anxious about her cats and this would have put her over the edge, and certainly been a stress for me as well. So, woo hoo! Our job this afternoon is to create a potty space for Gracie which we will cover with a tarp with bricks holding it down, so we can remove it after the snows and Gracie can have a place to potty without being in snow over her head!!

That’s a big woo hoo! Aww, I wouldn’t want to potty outside in snow!

I am so relieved…not only do I not want to go around a lot next week with the cold and snow, but the wife would be texting me non-stop. And now, I don’t have to be up early either. Double woo hoo!
