Sassy cats — Position open

Courtesy of Wikipedia

Peep here. After having houseguests last week, Sasha decided she needs an emotional support animal. Something to comfort or distract her during trying times. Something to swat or maybe squash depending on her mood. It’s a tough position to fill. It’s like a Navy Seal when you don’t know for sure if you’ll live through your assignment.

Interviews started this week. She has been interviewing earwigs. I have seen evidence of a few leaving the premises after an interview gone badly. One required a burial. Sasha has strict standards on what she needs. Gus thinks he’s enough but we’ll see. I can hardly wait to see what she will interview next week. Anyone interviewing should request combat pay. Send resumes.

Gus: It’s ok Sash, everyone is gone!

Here is something to make you cat (or any kind of pet) folks giggle.

We all wish you a great weekend!

  1. Well, I suppose thinking of them as interviewees is better than thinking of them as prey. The unsuccessful ones should be thankful they didn’t get the job. I’ve been to interviews like this, especially the one with the IRS.

  2. Tigger used to “adopt” green or brown anole lizards for “support.” Sometimes he played too rough and they “quit.”

have a fun weekend Kate and Crew!

  3. I had to look up earwigs! I am surprised I have never seen one here in the buggiest state. I hope Sasha finds a suitable support animal and that we get treated to a blog post about it. Would she consider a stuffie as an emotional support animal? Sure hope it isn’t an ant!

    • A long time ago my indoor-outdoor cat Jake brought in a party of fleas. Yikes! That took work to get rid of them all. They were doing the congo on the floor.

  5. Saw your title of position open, and my first thought was oh no!! Did someone die? But then I realized that you wouldn’t be cavalier about that, so started breathing again. I’m glad Sasha is working on providing for her emotional support needs. Hopefully the right candidate appears soon.
