Gracie here. Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving here. The peep made a turkey breast and I discovered something almost as good as rotisserie chicken – roast turkey. She gave me some (there was no alternative as I was whining loudly!) and I liked it. It all works because the peeps are not turkey fans. Good for me! Hold the stuffing and cranberry sauce though. Not a fan of that stuff.
The week was dominated by the peep complaining about her new hearing aids. I’m sure she’ll do a post on it but I’m warning you, it will all be whiny. I’m not allowed to touch them. They have tiny wires that look like fun to bat around but nope. The big hand of “no” comes out whenever I think about it.
She also received a card from her blogging friend Susannah. I put some strategic bite marks on it and batted it around. Now that’s a good gift (next to rotisserie chicken).
This weekend will be the start of taking down fall stuff and putting up Christmas stuff. That’s always a good time for the cats. There is a ball or two removed from the bottom of the tree. Maybe a ribbon too! We have a good eye for decorating!
Keep on chugging and send any excess turkey my way!

We can understand why you like turkey. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving. I’ve been without internet for the past week—being without Wifi has been the pits (and explains why I’m so late). 😉

It sounds like you and your Peeps had a very nice Thanksgiving, Gracie. Now if you can just keep up the good attitude through December, you’ll stand a good chance of becoming a favorite! ❤️

Not a chance!

It’s good you like the turkey breast, Gracie. The Lady Peep can just pop one in the oven. Jerry isn’t a fan of turkey but I am. Now I am thinking I can pop one in the oven if I can find one at the store. It will be interesting to see what the Lady Peep has to say about the hearing aids in a blog post. Decorating the tree! That will be a fun time for the Sassy Cats!

The peeps are tired of turkey (already?) so I get the rest. It was a small breast so that’s good for a few days.

Well Gracie you have a “taste” for bird that’s for sure. I’ve never been a fan of any kind of people food (except the occasional raw shrimp) but I know lots of cats and pups who love turkey. I wouldn’t mind CHASING one around the yard but tasting one isn’t on my “to do” list. Our Christmas tree is going up today and I can’t wait…..I love napping under it – WOO HOO!
Hugs, Teddy

The peeps are talking about decorating this weekend too. I’m not a big fan but the other cats love to sleep under the tree and bat off the bottom ornaments. The peep doesn’t do breakables on the bottom.

You’ve got a good thing going there, Gracie. I hope you get even more turkey this week.

The peep gave me the rest of the chicken this morning and I WANT TURKEY! She’s banging her head on the desk.

Gracie – it’s always good to have more than one favorite meal … variety is the spice of life, or so they say. So yay for new discoveries and were you offered stuffing with your turkey?

Stuffing? Eyuk! Can’t eat onions and there’s no meat in it. Today I’m rejecting the rotisserie chicken. My peep is going nuts.

You’ve got a point Gracie … there I was thinking like a human again. Atta girl – hold out for the big stuff, pretend like rotisserie chicken is not a fave and you’ll get turkey all the time. P.S. – the poor Peep!

Today is the last of the turkey. Back to chicken tomorrow.

Ahh bummer Gracie. No worries because chicken is paw-lickin’ good, right?

Glad you scored some turkey. I have 13 cats and offered a bit to each. Only 5 liked it.

I’m the only one who eats it here. None of the other cats eat people food and I only eat poultry.

I’ll be switching out the fall decorations for Christmas decorations this weekend too. I asked my husband if I should even bother decorating this year and was surprised at his adamant “yes.” It seems that I’m not the only one who notices 🧑🎄. We also had a Turkey breast also. After a few days of leftovers, I’ll be ready to ship the rest to you, Gracie.

My peep kept enough for tonight’s dinner and chopped the rest for me! Yay! Yesterday when I smelled it, I dumped the trash can looking for it. My peep said I hadn’t done that since my first week here in 2017.

We don’t have Thanksgiving here in the UK. I was just telling another American blogger that, as soon as midnight hits on Hallowe’en night, Christmas carols pipe from the heavens and snow falls.

Maybe we like to “practice” celebrating our holidays slowly! 🙂 Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving all done now. Onto Christmas. Pipe those carols here! We’ll start to decorate tomorrow and Sunday and play carols (and sing along) when we do. It won’t be pretty! 🙂

Hi Gracie, this is Punky! My peeps made some turkey too, and I got to have some (whining has its uses, right?) I loved it too. Now to get the peeps to get some of this rotisserie chicken…

We’re not big on turkey here, either. We made a small turkey breast, the leftover of which I’d happily share with Gracie, if’n we could.

The peep made a turkey breast in her (relatively new) range and it runs hot. Hot = dry. It needs to get cut back 50 degrees. The peep said this is the last one. Rotisserie chicken next year (yay!). We can also get a boneless piece of turkey which would be enough for 4 peeps (and one poultry-crazy cat).

We hosted Andy’s family this year. And since Andy was cooking the savory stuff, he opted for roast beef as the main. It was 13 pounds. We have quite a bit left and are inviting friends over tonight to make a dent in it. I wonder how Gracie rates roast beef?

I don’t think she likes beef. She certainly won’t eat beef cat food! However, her peeps like it!

I still can visualize when my sister-in-law, after my nephew had outgrown his playpen, put the tree up in the middle of the playpen. I guess the cats could have climbed up the net to get to the tree, but we all know the cats are incredibly lazy and that would have been too much trouble for them. Maybe you need to find a used playpen for putting up your tree?

We don’t climb the tree (too much work) but bat off the bottom stuff. The peep secures with pipe cleaners so most don’t go anywhere but there is always the one or two that we can get off.
