Although magnificent, you can see my missing fur on my right side. It’s taking forever to grow back.
It’s me Sasha! I had a bad day this week. I didn’t feel good, so I hid. I didn’t wake the peep up or come out for breakfast. The peep tried to find me. I like to nap in a spot where I can’t be found. If the peep thinks I’m sick, she will drag me out, stuff me in the portal to hell and cart me off to the V-E-T. Nope wasn’t in the mood for that. She finally found me under a bed and let me be.
She checked on me every few hours which made me move to another bed or the basement. (The peep likes when I scare her!) She tried giving me my favorite food in the afternoon, but I wasn’t in the mood. Finally, just before dinnertime, I ate a few crumbs. Tasted pretty good. I decided to have some more. Gus’s food was out (but mine wasn’t cause I wasn’t eating) so I pushed him out of the way (gently of course) and helped myself. The peep gave me my dinner.
By 6 p.m. I was back to my normal self. I made biscuits in her lap, and we watched TV with the male peep. This morning around dark o’clock I hopped on the bed and snuggled with her. I put my butt in her face and dusted her face with my magnificent tail. (No matter what she says, she likes that!). Life is back to normal although the peep keeps hugging me. So insecure. She’s lucky she has me. Also, without me, Gus made her crazy. He was like Velcro.
She says there will be goldfish in her next life instead of cats. I seriously doubt that.
Peep’s note: Sasha wasn’t feeling well yesterday. She hid and didn’t eat or drink for 24 hours. About the time I was ready to freak out, she came around. We’ll never know what it was. Maybe a simple bellyache or maybe something else. Gus is happy, life is back to normal. He missed her (and drove me nuts!).

Like us, I think sometimes they just have an off day.

Sasha – we love your “portal to Hell” reference and may have to use that ourselves, MOL!
In all seriousness, though, we are SO happy you are doing better now. Hopefully you just had a little bug or something. We often think of you and wonder how you are. Sending purrs ❤

Kate – don’t show Gus or Sasha this – they might get ideas next St. Paddy’s Day:

Sasha – I am glad you’re no longer under the weather. I didn’t even notice your missing fur until you mentioned it. I know … we ladies are sensitive about our looks. Who can blame us? I thought of your main squeeze Gus today. On social media (ABC News) there was a video of a house with two cats and the ginger cat was hungry and its mom was cooking a corned beef brisket in the slow cooker, so with one swipe of the paw, the lid was off and the brisket was dangling from that ginger cat’s mouth. It was a small brisket – sheesh. I know y’all would never pull a trick like that!

Indeed! I was not in the mood for a trip to the VET and a big bill! Then there is the worry part too!

I think she was annoyed I had the phone camera out again! She doesn’t feel her best without her fluffy neck.

I am glad you are feeling better, Sasha. Did you have a down day and decide to sleep it off? Not eating is worrisome for the Lady Peep when it comes to you and Gus. I think you all need a break from worrisome things. Enjoy your Sassy Cat Friday… I know I am enjoying it today knowing that you are feeling better and things are back to nomal!

The peep hopes it doesn’t happen again too.

It would be so much easier if they could talk and tell you what’s wrong. On second thought, maybe it’s best they can’t voice their discomfort or disapproval. I’m glad Sasha is feeling better.

Oh they know how to voice their disapproval!

I hate it when that happens. Tre is a high energy dog, so if he’s not moving around much, something’s up. Which has happened a couple of times. The fretting over it literally makes my own body sick. So, I get it. Glad Sasha is feeling better. Enjoy the weekend.

Yes, I get upset when they are sick. I’m never sure what to do. Time for a vet trip or maybe give it a day?

Reminds me of the time I insisted on x-rays for Gracie. I spent $200 to find out she was constipated. 😦

So glad everyone is feeling better. Nothing as scary as when a cat won’t eat.

Oh Sash, did you really push Gus out of the way? Was that nice after he was so nice when you were under the weather. I hope you apologized. I know it’s hard to believe but men’s feelings get hurt same as ours. Glad you’re eating. My Italian granny always said, as long as you ate, nothing was too wrong. 🙂

Sasha likes to keep you on your toes…..I think almost all cats have a touch of “Drama Queen (or King”) in them. Sasha has an excuse though since she’s had a medical issue. I love the photo of the snugglers – all is right in their world……now if we could just fix OUR world all of us would be happy!
Hugs, Pam

Sasha is the energy of the house. Even Gus felt it. Without her it would be dull.

Cats have the right idea . . . when they are feeling “under the weather” they have a cat nap “under the bed.” Glad she bounced back without the need for a vet visit.

We all did. I haven’t recovered from all the vet visits for Morgan yet. I don’t want to see that lobby for a long time.
