Sasha here. We have a sad. The peeps are weepy and needy. Morgan went into the portal to hell and never came back. I miss her. Sometimes she let me eat her food. We’ve been trying to comfort the peeps. Gus jumps in the lady peep’s lap every time she sits down. He walks across her keyboard creating sentences that are Pulitzer worthy and resizes everything on her screen in a way that takes a half hour to fix. I’ve been putting my stinky butt in her face but she doesn’t yell like she usually does.
Gus has been the victim of nonconsensual hugging. The peep smooshes his face and tells him never to leave. He’s been negotiating for a Churu every day.
The peep is touched by all the support. The blogging community is the bestest. We are all working on a perfect tribute to the perfect cat.

I know you are all sad right now as the Peep told us Morgan welcomed you both into the family with open paws. We are sad too and will await your perfect tribute to the perfect cat. P.S. – Churus for hugs … I had to Google that one Sasha to find out what Gus was craving.

Good for you and Gus giving your peep extra love right now. You might want to give her fewer stinky butts and a few more nose boops, though.

We can do that. She’ll love it!

I just signed into my blogging email and saw the notification about Morgan in there. My heart broke for you. Don’t feel the need to respond. Just keep doing what you need to do to take care of you for now. Sending hugs and prayers. 😢🙏

Thanks. The holidays were awful. We couldn’t get the care she needed.

Yeah, that happened to us over New Years going into 2020 with Max when we lost him. In fact, we lost him on January 8th. It’s so hard to go through that. More hugs.

I remember Max. I lost Hazel December 31, 2019 although she couldn’t be saved at that point. Not a fan of the holidays.

Keep it up, Stinky Butt! I hope the peep feels well enough to yell again soon.

Sasha and Gus, be verry kind to your peeps now, okay? They need you to be extra kind right now! And tell Guy thanks for doing his part to distract mom.

Gus is glad that the peep doesn’t wear lipstick or his fur would be stained forever.

Thank you for the cats’ view of what is happening. Be very kind to the peeps right now. Let them love you as much as they need. It’s a peep thing.

Sasha: I’ve been keeping a low profile. Gus is taking most of the squishing. Secretly I think he loves it.

Know what? We ALL are grieving for Morgan in our own way……and every time one of our gang flies off it reminds us that these relationships are WAY shorter than we wish they could be. We know it’s EXTRA hard on “the Mom” because they are our children and we take care of them and go through everything with them. That doesn’t just STOP. It’s part of our heart always. BUT every day gets a little bit better……..that’s my wish for you dear Kate.
Hugs, Pam

That is so true. When I read of someone else’s pet passing, I sit at my computer and weep for them. Each day gets better but I still expect to see the fuzzy gray face doing her happy dance every morning.

You will always see that gray fuzzy face…..and one day instead of tears when you do, you will smile. I promise.

We have a sad at our house too. Morgan is missed. Sasha, we appreciate this update on how it’s going. It’s good to hear that Gus is staying close to the Lady Peep. It’s good that he is messing with her computer. It will keep her busy and I am sure she is amused by his skills on the keyboard. I am also sure you are extra appreciated for your up close and personal displays of affection. Sasha, we are holding your Peeps close in our heart and Morgan is forever remembered as the Perfect Cat… Loved and so missed🩶

Sasha: The blogging community has helped us with our sad. Most have or had furry family and understand. They get our weepiness. Sending hugs to sunny Florida. Send Churus and catnip to PA!

It is. This wasn’t expected. She was a relatively young cat with no prior health issues. We don’t really know what happened.
