Sasha: I don’t feel good!
Just a short one for this week. Other than one routine appointment, the week was taken over by illness. Oh yes, and worry. As we age, any illness becomes potentially fatal in our minds. Even a broken fingernail can cause consternation!
A rainy requiem for September – We are experiencing the fringes of the nor’easter that’s going up the east coast. Lots of rain. Yesterday we had a lot of wind. Planters knocked over and flowers battered. Normally I love rainy days but with my beloved husband sick, it’s been gloomy. We’re not sure what’s ailing him but it’s kept him off his feet.
Really? – Perhaps in solidarity Sasha (my feisty cat) is not feeling well this morning. This is the cat that gets me out of bed at dark o’clock for breakfast. Not this morning. She didn’t come out when I fed Gus. Hmm… I went looking. I got her to eat about a tablespoon of food but she definitely does not feel good. Hoping this doesn’t end in a vet visit.
The worst thing? – I hate being the only (somewhat) functioning adult in the house. (Not that Sasha was much help!) Normally I love making decisions (I’m bossy like that) but when it’s only me, it’s tiring.

I hope your husband starts feeling better today, Kate. And Sasha too. I hear you… when it’s just the two of you it’s different. It makes me nervous when SSNS isn’t well.

I hope the gloom eases soon, weather-wise, and illness-wise. Illness is made even worse by wet gloomy weather!

Hope your husband and Sasha both feel better. And the rain, we got smug because it didn’t happen yesterday like they said, well….you should see it now. Let’s just say Noah and his ark would make a fortune.

We are having steady rain today but we had a lot of rain yesterday too. I hear Noah works for Uber now.

I feel your pain……With just David and Teddy here, if one of us “goes down” it makes for a ridiculously quiet household and that just isn’t us. Nope – we don’t do calm. I hope you and his doctor can figure out what ails your husband. When my guy isn’t well – nothing feels right around here. Same with Sasha – not coming for breakfast? Not good – unless she was out partying all night and is tired. Let’s hope everything at your place gets back to whatever normal is SOON. Normal is nice.
