RIP Morgan 2012 – 2026

Morgan: This is comfy!

Morgan lost her battle early Monday morning. Multiple vet and emergency vet visits did not save her. We never knew exactly what her problem was. The specialized vets she needed were on vacation and she couldn’t hump through until this week. We are all devastated here and will take a moment to grieve. She was our perfect cat, always healthy. She didn’t sing the song of her people in cars; fuss about the dinner menu; or have a hissy fit when Sasha and Gus joined the household. I will write something proper later. We are all grieving for our perfect cat.

  2. So sorry for your loss of Morgan. She lived a long and happy life with you and you have great memories and photos to keep you warm as you grieve your loss. Take the time you need to heal and we’ll be behind you supporting you.

    • We don’t really know. First symptom was jutting out her chin occasionally to swallow. She was treated for a sore throat but she continued to have what seemed to be swallowing issues. The vet thought maybe a mass in her throat but the last week she was having trouble breathing. The specialty vets were off for the holidays so we couldn’t get a scope or scan to pinpoint the issue. The last week progressed so fast that the final conclusion was that it was a fast growing cancer somewhere in her nasal-throat-trachea area but we’ll never know for sure. X-rays were inconclusive because that area has so much stuff. Her breathing was so labored that we had to let her go.

  3. Morgan was a cat – we all grieve with you. But Morgan looked and sounded very special; a terrible loss for you; we send condolences for you, and prayers for Morgan’s little immortal feline soul. Very sorry, Sympathies.
I still grieve for our little lady, “Hobbit” who filled our life for 23 lovely years, till 2012.

  4. I am so sorry for your loss. My cats are my children, and it is so difficult to lose one. I have spent thousands of dollars on specialists over the last few years, and, for the most part, it didn’t help them. They had cancer though, and it seems they offer no effective treatments for it.

I have to put in a good word for the kitty cardiologists though. One of my cats has been seeing one for 6 years, and, if not for the doctor, I would not still have my little girls.

Get a kitten: they heal all wounds.

    • Thanks. She may have had a chance if we could have gotten her in to see the specialist sooner or the outcome could have been the same but we would have known what was happening. It was here time. I hope she enjoyed her stay here as much has we did. I miss her little happy dance at dinner time.

  5. I am so very sorry for this loss and I know how you are grieving right now. She was a gift to you, but you were a gift to her, too.

Some advice given to me by an old friend – our cats are gifts to us for a time, but one day we have to give them back.

    You WILL see her again!

  6. Oh no! I am so sorry, Kate. Heartbreaking. Jerry and I both have you in our hearts. I am so happy she found a forever home with you and your Husband. My hope for all cats and kittens, all animals really, is to be loved and respected to the very end. All our pets deserve that and she certainly had that with you. Thanking you for sharing her photos this morning. Your Perfect Cat is at peace… she will be so missed🩶😢❤️

  7. I am so sad your sweet Angel Morgan has flown away – at least physically – but I know her presence will be with you FOREVER and a day…….that’s what they do – they live their best life with us then move on to another life but their imprint is on our hearts endlessly. I send you a hug…..or as many as you need……..

    Pam and Teddy too

  8. My heart goes out to you and the rest of your pack. It is so hard to lose family members. Seriously it doesn’t matter if they have 4 legs or 2 they are still family and the loss is huge. When I light my candle tonight Morgan will be in my heart.

Sympathy, pets and hugs to all
