Cats love sundrops. They will seek them out and spend as much time as possible in them.
Sometimes the sun moves and only a part is still in the sun. That seems to work though.
It’s still good enough.
Nothing better than a bath in the sundrop.
All the felines and humans wish you a great weekend and for those in the US, enjoy your Memorial Day!
That patch of sun looks inviting – more inviting than the sickening hot 90 degree weather we still had at 7:00 p.m.

It’s hot here too. We have the a/c on and I much prefer to have open windows.

I just turned mine on after having it shut off during a series of thunderstorms tonight. I hope the weather moderates pretty soon.

Me too. Looks like the weekend will be good although we will go from a 90s heatwave to a day of 69 degree high first. Seriously, that is wonky.

I’d like to have the weather that we grew up with … four distinct seasons … occasionally a little overlap of seasons, but not this extreme stuff. I’d definitely like your weekend weather – no melting.

Cats do know how to take advantage of the little pleasures in life.

Yes they do. They live in the here and now and I’m envious!

Ah, yes. After an hour in the sun I feel all woozy and warm!! Happy Memoria Day!

LOL – it looks a lot like that here, but much less peaceful 🙂

They have their moments. I woke up to a barf on my computer chair. Now I’m sitting on a towel!

Thanks. I wanted to lay next to them but there wasn’t enough sun to go around!

Nope. Not if they are there first.

Teddy and Jack like the sunspots except when it is in the upper 90’s, then they find a soft spot near an air vent. Supposed to rain here tomorrow. I hope so! It is wicked hot and humid for peeps but way too dry for the earth.

We’ve had a few hot days but not too many. We’ll see how it goes. At the other house, they liked to lie on the cool porch tile in the heat.

As I read this, I am relaxing in a sundrop as well. A most excellent place to be!

As I read your comment, I’m looking out the window at dark clouds. It’s been raining off and on so no sundrops today!

Oh yes, all of my cats love a good sun puddle.

Yes, I usually know where they are by the time of day. Mornings are in the east side and afternoons on the west.

I’m convinced that I was a cat in a previous life… I follow the pools of sun around our living room floor too. Have a good weekend (although once we retire, those “long” weekends have less attraction, right?).

Absolutely. Our next truly nice day will be Tuesday and I’m not too bummed.

Sadly we have raindrops today, tomorrow, and probably Sunday but we’re hoping for sundrops Monday! Teddy likes to lie in the grass in the front yard and will fall asleep easily…..he’ll wake up when the sun has moved and he’s not in it any longer and drag himself over to get back in the sun. Have a super Memorial Day weekend!

We won’t be into nicer weather until Tuesday but you never know. Yes, I love when they wake up and notice the sun moved so they do too.

I like your term ‘sundrops’. I’ve not heard that term and it’s perfect. I am not a cat, but I like them, too. Happy Memorial Day!

I like them too. As long as it’s not unbearably humid I love sitting in the sun (with sunscreen of course!).

I hope that you are planning to take some “time off” this weekend, Kate ~> kick back, relax, and enjoy your new digs! You can get back to your to do list next week. Have FUN!

Not likely. We have a meeting tomorrow but I’m sure somewhere we will hang loose. Weather here will be dreadful — cold and rainy. I a very typical Memorial Day.

Wish I could send some sun your way. We have it in abundance and need some rain. I know! Let’s trade!

It has been incredibly dry (for us) for all of May. We got some storms earlier in the week but will start 3 days of rain shortly. Wish I could send you some but we needed it too so it’s hard to be cranky about it. Good thing I’m retired because Tuesday will be lovely.

Sunbaths are the highlight of a cat’s day. Our cats and foster cats spend a good bit of time seeking them out. I hope you have a good holiday weekend too!

Our weather will be crappy but we’ll salvage something out of it.

Same here on the weather front, but we need the rain so we’ll make do. Monday is supposed to be nice.

When I worked (in cold air conditioning) I could drive home at lunchtime. My deck would be in full sun and I’d love to sit there and warm up. It would take me through the rest of the day in the ice locker they called an office.

So true! I drive home with the windows up and no A/C in order to defrost after 8 hours of artic temperatures. It’s ridiculous. I can no longer use my space heater because of my dry eye problem.

Sigh! I also have dry eye (and dry mouth). I never suffered from seasonal allergies until the past few years (thanks aging). So, the drops that help the allergies, also make my eyes dry. Yet if I don’t use them, they are tearing and I can’t stand bright light.

I have both Blepharitis and Meibomian Gland Dysfunction, also thanks to aging. I have to spend so much time cleansing my eyelids, I have to get up extra early for work! I don’t remember my grandmother dealing with such a thing. It’s got to be related to our screen time. 😦

I do the eyelid wash too. My mother didn’t have any issues with her eyes so you might be right.

It only lasts for a week or so, but Boss Cat loves it when the morning sun hits the fluffy comforter on our bed. Bliss.

It’s funny how they scoot around to catch the sun. The front picture window gets sun all afternoon but there is a tree outside so it’s dappled. That is Gracie’s favorite spot even when the sun isn’t shining.

Do you have feeders in the tree now? That would be a twofer: Bird TV AND sundrops!

Yes. I put them up right after we moved and enough snow melted on the deck to get to the hooks.
