This past week I spent some time trying to get some “great” shots of the cats. As soon as I bring out the black box (camera) the cats think that it’s time to be goofy. I have over 50 pictures but only two are post worthy. I can’t get my camera to snap fast enough so many are blurred.
In this first picture, Gracie was sleeping on the window sill. You can tell by how sleepy she looks. As soon as I got the camera Sasha realized that it was her time to photobomb the moment. She crawled into the space that didn’t fit and scooched Gracie over. There was only one shot because Gracie got “annoyed” and left. It’s a tough shot with the sun in the background and Sasha looks far more innocent than she is.
I took a series of Morgan but not a single one was sharp. User error maybe?
Sasha wasn’t ready to leave though and posed for a number of glamour pin up shots. She loves the camera and the camera loves her.
All the peeps and felines here wish you a great and very photogenic weekend!
Cats are so hard to take good pictures of! You get some amazing shots of yours, but I know how much effort you must have to put in to get them 🙂 You have beautiful kitties!

Back in the day of real film, I would be lucky to get one good shot out of a roll of 36. That God for digital.

I often think about that. We used to have to be so careful with film, because it was so expensive! Now we just flash away and pick the best 🙂

It is interesting how your cats act goofy when they see the black box. Almost like children. Sasha does look innocent. Thank you, peeps and felines for making me smile. 🙂

Sasha has huge gorgeous eyes that are as effective as puppy eyes. She gets away with far too much!

My cats always know when I reach for the camera and stop doing whatever it is I wanted to photograph. Your kitties are so adorable. Have a nice weekend.

Thanks. Yes, they have a sixth sense. Don’t they realize that part of their job is to look cute on photographs?

The contrasting black and white help that too.

Yes she’s very photogenic but I think the picture taker is doing a pretty dang good job. You even got her sweet little pink lips! Enjoy your weekend Sassy Cats and Peeps!

It always seems like the long-hairs are the divas when it comes to photos. They know their glorious locks photograph well.

That may be true. Mollie photographed well too. The short haired grays, not so much.

The camera really does love the glam girl, Sasha. Talking images of pets is a thankless job and too often takes f.u.r.e.v.e.r. Keep trying, you’ll be glad you did. 😺

I work on it. Each time I try new things to make them sharper. I use to blamed my camera but my husband bought me a new better camera and it still happens! Must be the cats.

Oh yes. It’s ALWAYS the cat (or dog). Same thing happens to me. It’s not unheard of for jillion’s of shots taken and barely getting a “meh” out of a couple. All we can do is keep trying. When we hit that sweet spot though, it just magic.

Great photos……I always think “photo fails” or bloopers or whatever you want to call them are FUN and there’s almost always a fun story to go along with them. 🙂

It’s the blur. You have some of the best cat photos I’ve seen! I love the sharpness (that I can never seem to get).

Wow, a sunbeam, a camera, AND a chance to annoy your feline sister. Sasha gets the trifecta.

She is a stinker. The grays are very polite but she will push them out of the way for food or to get her picture taken. Oh yeah, for scratches too! This was supposed to be a shy cat. Harrumph!

Sasha’s a natural in front of the camera!

She really is. She has big round eyes that photograph well. Gracie has slits that make her look drunk.

Your cats are much like our hummingbirds, Kate. One shot out of twenty isn’t a blur. Sasha does look comfortable in front of the camera. Have a good weekend!

Gracie is a hard shot. Small slit eye and dark gray. Mostly she photographs like a shadow.
