Black and white cats are easier to photograph than gray ones.
Everything she does is adorable.
The other cats whine when it’s all about Sasha so here’s Mollie!
And here are the grays — Gracie (front) and Morgan (on windowsill) feeling like chopped liver! It’s not easy being gray.
All the primadonnas here wish you a wonderful weekend!
I spent the weekend working like a field hand, but gardening chores had too long been neglected and I guess I’m glad to know we still have it in us to do the work! 🙂 I hope you’ll tell the cats. They look a little pampered and I’m jealous. 🙂

I don’t do yard work like I used to. Two hours at the most at a time but I still feel a great sense of accomplishment when I’m done. It just takes me more days to do it now.

You got some great pictures, Kate! Sasha’s selfie is close up and adorable what with that cute nose and whiskers! Mollie is still beautiful even with a bit of a sleep hangover. They are beautiful cats and I certainly enjoy your pictures!

Thanks. I’d tell them but they will want to renegotiate their contracts.

I love the look on Sasha’s face for her pin-up shot, Mollie’s face as she glares sleepy-eyed at you and the dejected look of Gracie and Morgan. 🙂

They each have their moments! Right now Sasha is most active so there are more shots of her.

I love your captions, as well as the photos. We had a gray cat once, a rescue that daughter Lise brought home.

I feel a bond with Lise. The grays have a great personality. Easy going more so than Mollie or Jake was.

Our Stacia was stately and regal. I didn’t take photos of cats with film, so I don’t think I have a single shot of Stacia. She lives on in our hearts.

I submitted some photos way back in the 70s of the current cat but never won anything!

Can you hear her say “Hey soldier! Got some tuna?”

Marvelous pictures of beautiful cats! Although the black cats and the cats with more subdued colors are difficult to photograph, when caught just right they make interesting pictures!

They do! Some of my favorites are my pictures of Jake, my old black cat. His coat is so shiny!

I had the hardest time photographing my black cats. The tortie/ calico is much easier.

Oh all of them look quite happy and relaxed and lovin’ life! Just the way things should be for a cat. At least every time you grab your camera to take pix they aren’t “belly up” like SOMEONE WHO LIVES HERE IN MY HOUSE is.

I think the one that lives with you is up for contract negotiations. Cats are tough. They want airtight photo contracts with lots of tuna and nip.

Your cats are beautiful! I have problems photographing my black cat, but my black and white cat is so easy in any light.

Black is tough and sometimes the grays are too. My best one is Mollie the torti. She photographs beautifully but she’s an older cat so all she does is sleep. I have a lot of sleeping pictures!

Your cats are much better with photos than my dog. He’s so tired of having his picture taken, he won’t even look at me anymore when that camera comes out!

I always thought dogs were so much easier for photos. Maybe not!

I had two of them. This one had her mouth ever so slightly open. I thought it was sexier in a cat way.

They love being the favorites. They had the spotlight alone for several years and aren’t happy to relinquish it.

At first I thought you got a dog, Kate! Sweet photos!

It’s the closest I will get to a dog. It’s very lifelike in person. Scares the bejesus out of visitors. All the cats love to sleep with it. I suspect that has more to do with the soft fluffy covering rather than the dog image.

That second picture is terrific. So hard to get a cat still long enough for a sharply focused close-up
The white must make it easier to catch the entire black and white cat – black dogs are impossible to get a good picture of. Must be the white reflecting light.contrast that makes the black cat hair so lush and luxurious looking
Mollie is giving you the stink eye. The grays are such understated elegance. None of them have to worry about being left out of the beautiful category. Have a great weekend

Sasha likes to rub against the camera when I’m trying to take pictures, hence the selfie. Her nose looks like leather! There is something about the contrast because she’s easier to photograph and all black Jake was. In reversal to humans, the younger the cat the more pictures I have. I only have a handful of Jake. Already have a million of Sasha and the other cats fall in between.

She thanks you. She wants you to know that the human was pretty annoyed about it since she was trying to get a “nice” picture (which is impossible with cats).

yes… it’s not easy being gray… but at least gray is better than to be green like that kermit ;O)

You both photograph beautifully which is unfortunate since you are always up to something naughty when the camera snaps.
