Sasha is home. She is also at home. She has discovered all the best spots and where all the feeding dishes are. She is taking over Hazel’s role as food cleaner upper. I am very lucky that at just two weeks everyone is getting along like she’s been here forever.
The two grays and Sasha have a nightly soccer practice where some poor toy gets a bashing with cats sliding into cabinets or ending up in a heap. The catnip mouse or the feather gets batted around by all three. It sounds like a herd of elephants. They also have a practice scheduled for 3 a.m. They will be a great team someday!
All the felines and humans here wish you a great weekend!
So cats get the zoomies too, eh? That’s too funny. Hope you had a lovely weekend.

Cats are smaller and very fast at zoomies!

I’m a dog person but I must admit, there may be a cat in my future. We’ve had them in the past but we’re in coyote country. It just didn’t work out.

Mine do not go outside. We have foxes and coyotes.

Isn’t it wonderful how well she’s adjusting and how well she fits in with your house and its cats?! Have a great weekend, Kate.

Sasha reminds me of my aunt’s cat, Charlie Chaplin, who was a favorite pet when I was a young girl. I hadn’t thought of Charlie in a long time! 🙂 I’m so glad Sasha is making herself at home and I know she’ll continue to add a happy component to the sweet cat family! I hope you, too, have a wonderful weekend, Kate.

It seems all the names the refer to her coloring are boy names! She is very at home and becoming a Velcro cat. (and they said she was shy)

So glad your new girl is fitting in OK with the gang 🙂 Always a concern with a new cat.

Yes it is. I’ve had two in the past that didn’t get along. Not fun.

She is a great cat. People who passed her over because she is initially shy lost out.

That’s marvelous that Sasha feels at home and the other three are not packing her bags to go. Your photos are always great.

Mollie may be packing her bags but she’s not wapping her on the head!

I am too. Keeping cats separated is no fun. Watching them play together is wonderful.

Well of course she is happy. She has fallen into love, friendship and lots of pampering from the humans.

And the other cats! Today by accident she got locked out on the screened porch and she was not happy. It was too scary to be by herself although the weather was 70 degrees and she had been an outdoor cat. She has a tiny squeeky meow except when she is not happy. Then she sounds like a bull moose in heat.

I’m so happy that she is settling in so well. You never know how different personalities will meld. I love the picture of her looking through the stair railings.

Ah yes, kitty noise in the middle of the night. It’s funny how they all do that. Enjoy your new teammate.

They have different wake hours than we do. There is a long period during the day devoted to nap time so they can be chipper during the early morning hours while we are hopefully sleeping. New teammate put on sneakers and jumped right into the fray.

So pleased to hear Sasha has settled in and been accepted by the others. Hope there aren’t too many ‘own goals’ in their enthusiasm!

Gracie has changed a bit. She doesn’t bring the feather stick to me to play. Maybe because she has a playmate or because as soon as I pick up the stick, Sasha engages. I give her attention so she doesn’t become the forgotten “middle child.”

She’s working on her autobiography. She’s been around the block a few times for her age but she weathered it well.

Sasha is so adorable in the tree nest. Looks like she can hardly believe her luck ( and feels the it was worth the wait.)
How nice she’s be invited to join team practices – World Mousie Cup playoffs next!

The old team was starting to lose enthusiasm. Bringing in a new player ‘upped the ante’ for everyone! Unfortunately the humans aren’t soccer fans. At least not cat soccer at 3 a.m.

Sounds like good times! Does Mollie watch the soccer and yawn?

She’s been known to sleep through it. Once in a while they will run over the bed and over her. That doesn’t make her happy!

The 3 am soccer practices are the worst! Then it is usually followed by the 4 am ‘I’m starving” music recital.
You are going to be entertained for a long time!

Sasha is not a patient cat. When I get up there is the “hungry” dance all around my feet trying to trip me up! Then she eats all of her food (every last crumb) and goes around “helping” the other cats clean their plates.

My biggest fear is that she will overeat and get large but so far she burns those calories off.

She came from an outdoor colony, and most of those cats never forget what its like to be hungry.

That’s what they said about Hazel and we fought obesity for most of her life. I don’t want to have to put a cat on a diet again. Ever! She weighs 8.2 lbs and I’ll keep an eye on it. BTW she finished off Mollie’s tuna this morning (the FF you gave me). On the one hand it’s nice to have a cat that isn’t fussy.
