We have a guest so there have been adjustments. Mollie is delighted that the person is not sleeping in her main bedroom. She likes to take an occasional snooze in the guest bedroom just to keep it homey but it’s not her regular spot. That did not stop Morgan from bunking in with the guest one night but she said it was just for support. What a cat!
On the other hand Gracie is delighted to have a new playmate. She is protecting her toy here because she didn’t want it to get hidden anywhere.
Morgan has been very needy which is so unlike her. Loss of Hazel, new person in the house. Lots of changes for a cat. (Lots of changes for a human!)
All the cats here wish you a great weekend.
Change is just plain old hard for many of us! I’m with the cats! 🙂 Thinking of you and your family, Kate.

Well, if he wasn’t, we would have had to find a plan B. The cats stay.

So far we haven’t killed each other. He’s actually a good patient and the cats love him.

It’s hard to have a PAWsitive outlook when you’re a cat and humans disrupt your routine – they are rolling with the punches, as are you. Kudos to all!

They have been wonderful. My brother likes cats and they like him. He’s also a quiet person and non-threatening.

Well that’s good as he is stressed enough with his injury and that of his wife.

I think of Gracie as his therapy cat. 🙂

My cat’s “safe place” (where she couldn’t be murdered by an evil kitty hater) was the guest bed. I always felt so bad when we actually had a guest using it. I’m glad that all three are adjusting to having an extra human in their house.

Hazel always slept on the guest bed and I felt bad when she was transplanted because of guests. She would survive and when they left, she went right back to her spot. The grays are not finicky. They go where they want no matter who is here.

Sounds like a pretty even keel in your house . . . especially when one considers all the recent changes and events. Cats rock!
Hope your bro is the perfect guest!

Happy weekend to you and the kitties. Here’s hoping the naps are as plentiful as new toys and boxes.

That is a fabulous shot of Gracie protecting her toy. You never know where these things can disappear to when company is in town!

Yes indeed! Her staff has been known to put it “out of the way” so no one trips over it (or she doesn’t pull it out and beg someone to play).

I can see Mollie when she saw you with the camera rolling over a bit to get the best possible light on her beautiful furry self… Ha! Awww, Morgan. And would anyBODY think of taking Gracie’s toy and hiding it… Kate?? Here’s to gentle easy adjustments for the humans and the Sassy Cats.

We don’t want people tripping over feathers on a stick! I often put it up in the bookshelf and that worked until last week when she found the hiding place and brought it out.

Morgan is a purrfect host… in medieval it was a honor when the host shared the room and the bed with you ;O)

Well, I wouldn’t have made a good medieval host! Ain’t sleeping with anyone! Well, ok, there is my husband and Mollie…sometimes Morgan….occasionally Gracie.

Some cats are more sensitive than others. Bossy Cat doesn’t care which human is in “her” recliner. If someone sits in it, she makes a beeline for the warm human lap. She doesn’t care if that human hates cats, she’s getting that lap.

I love Bossy Cat. This is the first time I have been Gracie climb into a lap other than mine. Even for me she prefers my legs to my lap. Today is his third day here so he’s fresh meat now.

Yes they do. I just took a picture of Gracie sleeping in my brother’s lap. Both were sleeping together.
