Sassy cats — Year end resting

Gracie: Where did you have your finger last? Smells like tuna!

It’s been quiet here all week. The cats are on hiatus. Seriously, they are always on hiatus but this year is even more hiatus-y!

Mollie resting up for…ummm…nothing.

It’s been an uneventful year. No new cats and no losses. Mollie had some teeth pulled and Hazel got her poops under control (sort of). The grays are just the grays. Annoying and lovable. Cuddly and demanding. Normal. They wish you all a new year.

Hazel: One of these must be a tuna martini!

  1. I wish mine would go into a bit of hibernation. Particularly the kitten, whose not a kitten anymore. And needs to realize that.
Of course pestiness and minor chaos is one of the things I actually love in cats, so I really shouldn’t complain.

  2. Did you see JoyRoses (Nuggets of Gold) post “What About George?”

It contains a shout-out to Morgan, Grace, Mollie, and Hazel:

“Then there were the 2 beautiful Persian cats at one house and 4 mischievous cats at Kate’s house, who were all wide eyed watching Jinx and Jangle.”

    What About George?

    • Yes. And the extra work too. I have that with managing Hazel’s IBS. When Jake passed 3 years ago, in the sadness I knew I didn’t have to do pee towels twice a week or worry about him. Fast forward 3 years and I’m keeping an eye on poops in the box to make sure nothing is soft. Yikes. I know, TMI!

    • My older cats are moving into the geriatric stage where things go wrong (and owner gets neurotic). They will be 12 and 14 in the new year. I’ve never had a cat make it to 20 but several topped out at 18.
