This is a picture of Gracie watching the Olympics. Oh, maybe she wasn’t exactly watching.
Gracie was able to work on a new competition — bagging. Here she is practicing her routine. We have had a talk. This house is full of boxes and now bags. Her athletic career may be at an end. She is allowed to pick ONE thing besides her mousies, catnip toys, feather wand and bed. Not only is it messy to have this stuff all over but it’s expensive to continue buying stuff so we have proper containers.
Since there isn’t a lot of activity here I’ll share something I saw earlier this week.
Unfortunately my cats were not into any special gymnastics this week. Maybe they are saving themselves for the summer Olympics!

From what I know of your cats and their ability to seek comfort, I think winter Olympics are entirely too harsh! They’re definitely resting up for the Summer Olympics. No question!

No, they are far too often. The barfing competition is weekly along with the who can pee over the edge the farthest!

We had them on today and it was curling. I watched it for 10 seconds. If no one is flying in the air to possible doom, I’m not watching!

Mollie is the barf queen. She can hack up a hairball at will. Hazel on the other hand spends days hacking before it comes up. Gracie is the box cat. Morgan, the mouse catcher queen. All stars.

My cat’s favorite sport was pooping then running around the house and up and down the stairs celebrating her new-found lightness of being.

My cats usually do the zoomies before the event. That’s how I know to get out the scented candles!

Mine are for sure! Gracie won’t go out in the screened porch because it’s too cold. Morgan and Hazel do but they whine and shake their frozen toes when they come in. I always tell them that there are cats who live outdoors. They don’t believe me.

I think mine are in training for the chasing race in the summer olympics. Best times are achieved at 3-4am. But they are competitive at all times. 😉

I wanted one of the four black cats that sleep with Dear Husband and me to comment on 3 a.m. gymnastics, but they are busy right now practicing for their midnight steeple chase.

Even as I write, I have one grocery sack (with balled up receipt inside), and one small box (for the contortionist) decorating my kitchen floor. Hey! I’m within the limits, right? 🙂

I’m still trying to find out what the limits are. This week there were 3 boxes. However, when I brought that bag in, three of the cats were fighting for it.

Olympics are expensive. But in the end, winning that metal is life changing. Pet Olympics is huge! I say you back Gracie in her endeavor. It has to be a win-win in the end, right?
