All cats have their thing. Some cats have more than one. Morgan is one of those cats. She has a blankie and a ribbon, both of which are dear friends but she also loves post-its.
That’s an easy toy. You can buy cheaply at any stationery store and they are available in bright colors (which is more for me than her).
However (and there always is one) they are like dear boxes that cannot be thrown out because someone fits in them. Unlike boxes, they look like trash lying on the carpet or on the staircase. Sometimes you can find them on the bed (or in the bed), on a chair or the cat tower. It seems that they get around.
I have to guard the “pack” or Morgan will destroy it in one sitting. I dole them out to her one by one. She savors; attacks; then deposits them around the house.
It’s still one of the easiest toys ever.
How interesting. And funny! I’m curious about quantity. Is there a tipping point at which there’s no more interest? Or is it the more the better? I find cats so fascinating in their individuality, and Morgan surely is unique!

I don’t think the tipping point in quantity but age of cat. At 4-1/2 Morgan is still the kitten but the two older ones stopped playing with their favorite toys as they got older. The current post-it pad is hot pink and there are hot pink stickies all over the house.

never heard of post it notes as a play toy for cats but whatever works and whatever kitty likes.

It’s not just post-its. She will attack any paper including mail. I had one other cat like that a long time ago. She would chew up bills and legal papers if I wasn’t careful.

Just think of it as house confetti… everywhere. I guess there could be much worse kitty addictions.

Much better than scattered hairballs!

Who knew? A great idea. If I was a cat, chocolate would be my ‘toy.’ Just spread a piece out one at a time, or I’ll take care of the whole box at once. 🙂

Fortunately cats do not have the taste buds for chocolate although I have a cat who likes to lick the salt off of potato chips. Just one chip but she does it once or twice a week.

I agree that this is a great toy. After all, Gracie could have chosen a more expensive ‘hobby’! 🙂

None of my cats play with anything you buy specifically for them except for their feather wand.

That is a good toy. Not messy. Not expensive.
Not painful when you step on it in the dark.

Not wet and gooey. I won’t cry if it gets thrown out and I have to buy more. Lots of good things.

Best cat toys are the cheap ones, except for the Neko BirBug, which is worth every expensive penny.

I am not sure what that is but will google it!

Your cats are extremely more interesting than mine. I think ours just uses us as a hotel room. Then again, I don’t have to deal with little bits of paper laying all over the house. 🙂

Maybe your cats are older. Hazel and Mollie aren’t near as active as the two grays.

I think she’s just still a ferrel cat at heart. She goes out all day and comes in to eat and sleep at night or sometimes she’ll go out all night and then come home to sleep all day. That’s what makes me think she uses us as a hotel room. Like she’s on a vacation or something. She was a neighborhood stray but I think she is only 5 or 6 years old. Again, though, I have no mess to clean up and she does her business outside so the cleaning fee isn’t much. 🙂

Sounds like she does her playing outside.

While in college, I had a cat who loved highlighters and nail files. She liked for me to gently file her teeth. 🙂

Her teeth? Now that is a weird fetish! (yay Eagles!)

Four of our cats like bed linens. All four cats are related, so I claim it’s a genetic thing. Dear Husband and I make the bed every morning, and those cats go to town and have a grand ol’ time amongst the comforter and sheets. The bed is unmade by noon. But we keep making the bed, why?

I have one that bunny kicks any blankets she can get too. I am pretty sure she put a few holes in my fitted bed sheet too. Must be related to your cats.

Isn’t it funny how each cat seems to have its own peculiarities? This one is a first though! I wonder what it is about those little pieces of paper that attracts her? It’s not like they crinkle or make any kind of sound like aluminum foil, for example.

They do have a sticky side and she loves glue.

So true. We adopted Gracie partly because she looked a little like Morgan and because she was “less adoptable” with her eye. They having nothing in common except fur color and one is a shade lighter than the other.

Morgan you are like a muse… you inspired me to a funny game ;o)
btw: the forxterrier of my parents loved the taste of fax-paper, he always dragged the whole roll out and made confetti….

I have to say this is the first time I have heard of a kitty loving post-its! Love you Morgan!

I had one other cat with a paper fetish. Morgan especially loves the glue on envelopes. I have to be careful or she’s licking everything.

You are welcome any day. The two grays would be delighted. Mollie would come out if you stayed long enough. Hazel would be the ghost cat.

I hear you. I’ve got one of those empty boxes sitting in the middle of my kitchen floor right now that got appropriated. So I walk around it and one of my cats watches me–from inside the box!
