It’s been a delightful week but inspiration has taken a vacation.
It’s just around the corner (waiting for a stupid person to do something bloggable). I occasionally see it sneaking in the pond for a dip. Or dancing in the flowers. However, it refuses to spend any time with me (and my spanking new computer).
In the meantime I will share a shot I got this week. My cats are not the kind that sleep together. They have their own favorite spots but I captured this one. Perhaps that shelf is loved by both Gracie and Hazel but I’ve never seen them share it before.
It’s easier to see Hazel’s size when she’s that close to Gracie. I’m sure she doesn’t appreciate being compared, but you do have photographic evidence!

She only likes to get face shots but I couldn’t resist.

I can only hope that your inspiration is out there inspiring others to be good humans, lord knows the world needs some of that now.

More likely she’s at some bar propositioning some sailor.

You will find something that you can’t wait to share and you will be off and running again!
Love Gracie and Hazel!

Gracie and Hazel do not look happy to share.
Inspiration on vacation, waiting for a stupid person to do something bloggable. Even on a short-short post, your inimitable turn of phrase is a delight.

I think they were more annoyed with the photographer. They were sleeping before I started taking pictures.

The cat days of summer … affect us all 💛

They do.

Funny how inspiration goes on vacation at times and shows up when you least expect it. I suspect someone will do something crazy and inspirational very soon😊

Considering how the world is today, I don’t expect it to take long.

I think it’s called summer. I’m sure your muse will resurface with the cooler weather 🙂

And with a nice tan!

They are beautiful, thank you for sharing :). Inspiration comes and goes, sometimes you just need a little detox from media.

We’ve had a stretch of really nice weather so I think I have summer fever. Can you have that? Is that a good excuse?

It sounds good to me 🙂 enjoy it while it’s here!

I love it when cats cuddle. Our two boys rarely get that close, but when they do, I think, “Awwwwe.”

My cats don’t do that either. They may lie on the same sofa but rarely touch.

It is not just you (or your new computer) – I have sensed a general sense of not-being-inspired, both in blogworld and in myself. You (and I) will (both) be back!

Hope your muse returns to amuse you soon.
Hazel looks like a “chubby rabbit” in that photo.

Well, the chubby part is right. She did lose another 3 ounces this week. Baby steps. And there’s lots of baby to lose.

They probably decided to stick together to weather your new computer storm.

Or they were collaborating on something and fell asleep.

It’s funny how they have their backs to one another…baby steps, I suppose. Go Eagles!

We’ll see. Cat snuggling doesn’t happen often. Yay Eagles. Husband has TV staked out.

LOL! That’s called a barely tolerating share. 😉

I’m pretty sure Hazel (chubster) was there first. Gracie always tries to horn in when something looks interesting.

Totally get that. I need prompts sometimes. Getting some kind of schedule or writing more than one post at a time when the inspiration does hit and holding them in the draft folder for days like today has been a goal of mine lately. Sometimes I get two or three good ideas at once and if I don’t write them down they are lost!

Oh yes, I have to write detailed notes exactly when I think of something or it’s gone never to be remembered again. About a week or two ago, I had a marathon writing session. I like that because if I have a few days to review, I can greatly improve the post.

Yeah, I’ve been struggling with inspiration, too. But your post on dog poop bags reminded me of the poop wars in our neighborhood, so my last post was actually inspired by YOU! 🙂

Yay! The poop wars continue to be brought up on the neighborhood website.

My neighbors are freaking out over the return of coyotes and bobcats. Group texts are blowing up. Maybe that’ll be my next post.

Sigh! We have coyotes too. They are afraid of people but can snatch a small pet. People like sanitized settings to live in. We have a local guy who constantly writes letters to the editor about weeds by a stream. It’s a freaking stream! You want grass go to a golf course!

I know what you mean about inspiration. I haven’t been inspired to write lately either. Maybe something is in the air. I think it (inspiration) ebbs and flows. I’m sure your blogging muse will return soon enough (and now only if I listen to my own advice).

Part may be that so many bloggers take August off or slow down. I get inspired by others and everything seems to be on vacation now.

Yes. They are not quite balanced as one weighs 15 lbs. and one is 7 lbs. It’s a new asymmetrical look.
