I’ve had cats that didn’t like each other. They didn’t fight all the time but there were tussles. This crew gets along. I am happy about that. They don’t sleep in a heap like dogs but I’ll take what I can get.
Yes they all seem to be happy and faced in different directions. Usually Mollie, the calico (front left) doesn’t let anyone on the bed when she is there so this was special.
I see the three are keeping their distance from each other. . . so typical. Only my two sister cats snuggle together. The other cat naps alone but that’s okay with me. It keeps the fur from flying too much.
I love seeing them all together like that! When Mac was alive, he and Pear and Felix hung out on the kitchen counter in their beds (don’t ask) every day. They were so happy together. When Mac died it kind of broke up the team. Even so, Tiger has always been the odd cat out (as you know).
I love the ‘together but separate’ aspect of the bottom photo….with two of the cats looking away from the group, and one being the self-made monitor. Very cool!
My two tolerate each other. They are not siblings. Norie, the black cat, loves to sneak up behind Sister and touch her nose to Sister’s tail, just enough to startle her. Siblings from what I hear are the ones who snuggle etc.Have you found that to be true?
I’ve never had sibling. I’ve seen cats and dogs cuddle together so I’m not sure how they pick their cuddle buddies. It may be more likely with siblings who have been together from birth.
She is beautiful. She was 18 months old with a litter when I adopted her. The litter had been adopted. She weighs 7 pounds but she is the (very friendly) alpha cat. The others weigh 12 and 14 lbs.
The blankets strategically placed on that one bed reminds me of when we had to place a large tarp over our sofa at night to protect it from nocturnal projectile hairballs. I miss my kitty, but not those.
The spread was off so it must have been in the evening. I have no idea what that white thing is. The red thing is the extra throw for my side. They only barf on the carpet or bedspread. Once there was a disaster in the middle of the night when Mollie barfed on my side of the bed while I was sleeping. That can wake you up quick!
It is a good group. I’ve had to keep cats separated when I had a deranged cat many years ago. That damn cat lived to be 18! That was work. I am very grateful.
They are not into snuggling with each other. Very occasionally one will sit on me for a while but I think they get hot and jump off. Only Mollie (the calico) will sleep on the bed at night when we are in it. Once in a while she will climb onto my chest. Of course that only happens at 3 a.m.
What a sweet trio! I’m so glad they’re friends.

The shot on the bed cracks me up! I need to live and think like a cat. Cats really do have life worked out.

Boundaries are a good thing. They are smarter than some humans I know.

Poor Tiger. Mollie tends to be a loner too. Hazel and Morgan are buds but they all get along.

That is so wonderful to see. A friend I met volunteering at the shelter has 6 cats and has pix of all of them lying together!

I was so excited the other day when I got a pic of all three lying in close vicinity of each other. That is very rare here!

I’d like it if cats and dogs could get along. 😦

I really like the markings on the orange/brownish and black cat. They all look good though.

Good sharpness in your photos. Isn’t it amazing what a nice camera can do?!

The last photo is an older one but the other two are with my new camera. I am having trouble getting them to stay still for a photo op.

Always the challenge! That’s what a fast shutter speed is for.

That is amazing. We had three cats at once, and they never willingly stayed in the same room for more than five seconds.

That’s no fun. I love in the winter when we have the fireplace going and all three are there.

Your cats are so pretty, and cooperative on top of that? You’ve got yourself a good group there. Enjoy.

Of course 3:00am! Makes sense! Ray never wakes me up at a reasonable time, but has no hesitation in butting me with his nose around 4:00am!

Absolutely! An early start as in “How about some breakfast now that you’re awake!”
