Most of my cats have a preferred sleeping position and even a preferred spot. Not so with Morgan. There is chair sleeping — deep and long.
Sleeping on the computer desk when blogging gets to be too much work. Notice nose in fleece pad.
Sometimes it’s best on your back with a pillow.
Snoozing on the mantel (where she isn’t allowed! oops!)
Here she is sleeping with Mollie’s bunny (don’t tell Mollie).
No cat plays harder than Morgan and no cat sleeps more soundly and safely. She doesn’t worry about predators attacking (except for the occasional human snuggle). What a great life.
May you sleep soundly and without fear.
The mantel would be boring and dull without Morgan ornamenting it

That’s funny. That’s exactly what she said.

If only Morgan could share the secret of such total release! I think of all my friends who have trouble getting a night’s rest. Some of those poses are simply hilarious, but with that much personality even in sleep, I can see why you love this cat! Too cute!

She was picked up as a stray at 6 months but doesn’t appear to have had any trauma happen to her. She’s not afraid of anything including the vacuum cleaner.

Obviously a well loved cat! My cats sleep all over as well. Blackie likes to sleep for a few weeks in a favorite place and then switches to a new favorite place. The other two sleep where ever they feel like! Human beds, couches, cat trees, floor, my lap….

All the cats are cherished here. Each one is so different. Mollie and Hazel rotate between maybe two favorite spots but Morgan can find a favorite spot anywhere. None of my cats are lap cats. Sometimes they will climb on but none stay longer than 2 or 3 minutes. I must be too bony.

I would love to sleep deep like Morgan! Love the shot of her on her back with a stuffie for a pillow! Good Morning!

Morgan has always been an amazing cat. She was picked up by the shelter as a stray with a bad eye infection. They ended up taking her eye out. You would think that she would be skittish but she’s the most people-oriented cat we have. There isn’t a fear in her body. Love that about her. Wish I was like that.

Sleep? Sound? Oh how I long to be like Morgan!

Me too. She doesn’t sleep as much as the other cats do (which is like ALL the time) but when she sleeps, it’s a good one.

There is nothing more peaceful than to watch a cat sleeping. Sigh….

I know. I can get weepy thinking about the trust they have.

They do sleep in weird positions. I wish i could sleep that sound.

She especially is agile although one of my other cats sleeps with half of her body hanging off a shelf.

I am so envious! A good, sound sleep is something I get less and less of these days. Hopefully in my next life I will be a cat… with a servant as attentive as you.

Tigger is a bit more wary unless he’s sleeping under the bed or in the bottom of the pantry closet. He also had a feral start to life and learned to sleep with one eye open.

Exactly how Hazel is. Morgan, Mollie and Jake sleep so soundly that I could walk up and scare the bejesus out of them. Not so with Hazel. I swear she sleeps with one eye open all the time.

I want to sleep like that too!

Thanks. Morgan is my easiest subject except sometimes her gray coloring will fade into a shadow.

Snorts with piggy laughter. Mom calls that the no fear sleep. Us anipals have no fear in their own homes. We feel safe… at least when Hemi is not around here. Snorts! XOXO – Bacon

Mom is right. Hazel, our cat with feral beginnings does not sleep like this unless she is under a bed or some other unreachable place. Morgan and Mollie sleep without that one eye open to fight off critters.

Oh yes. Mom tells us anipals that when we are sleeping we are Switzerland. No fighting or waking the other EVAH. Now does that happen? Snorts – surely not with the wild child Hemi here. Mom fusses at him though when she catches him trying to wake our beauty sleep. XOXO – Bacon

Me too. When I see her blissfully sleeping even with commotion going on around her, I am envious.
