The cats aren’t as enthused about summer as I am. We had to turn the air conditioning on. That means the windows are closed. No sleeping on the sill. They can go into the screened porch but only Morgan goes out the whole day. She keeps an eye on the wildlife. The others….well, they use it as a time to catch up on z’s.
Then we have Mollie…
Only Morgan is busy keeping her eye on the chippies.
The cats send their regards and hope your week was as interesting as theirs.
I’m with Morgan: if we had a screened-in porch, I’d be out there all the time.

It’s shady and breezy. Even if it’s hot, it’s wonderful there.

What great pics, Kate! The one of Mollie makes me smile ~ one of our cats does the same thing, constantly. At first we thought it was her way of getting belly rubs, but now it seems like it’s just comfortable for her.

Mollie sleeps like that all summer. It’s especially cute when she’s snoring.

She seems to be the popular one this week!

You really did capture Hazel in a very unflattering pose, I must say! But then again, comfortable in my own surroundings I’m not always in the most flattering poses either. 🙂

Yes, I can definitely relate to that.

I ❤ Molly. That belly! That floof! That 4-feet-in-the-air attitude!

She’s 7 lbs. of floof! Did you notice she put her white socks on for the occasion?

Hazel, my spirit animal, never disappoints. Molly looks like Beyonce in that shot and Morgan, bless her soul, thinking she can catch a chimmpie through the glass.

Our window sills aren’t big enough for cats. So we put scratching posts under or next to them.
Our cats are so spoiled.

Hazel is laying on a buffet shelf in the porch. It’s a warm sunny spot and you can always find a cat there. We have cat trees, trunks, tables, etc. under windows everywhere. Isn’t that what all cat owners do?

all the smart (or possibly whipped) ones.

I’d go with whipped.

Love the cat pictures! We had to turn our AC on yesterday. But I think it will only be needed through the weekend.

We’ve had ours on all week through the 90 degree weather. Today is muggy and rainy. Hopefully next week will moderate and we can turn it off. Windows open! Yay!

Tons and tons. Then when I do take one, I have ears or butts.

Normally I’m partial to Morgan but this pic of Mollie is irresistible!

Mollie knows how to do adorable. However….it’s hard to get her to hold the position until I get the camera (that means finding it), turn it on and set it. Most times she is off to something else by then.
